Bicornuate Uterus, and Uterus Ruptured

by Mandy923, Aug 13, 2009 02:47PM
I was at 18wk3d when the left lobe of my bicornuate uterus ruptured in the strongest part of my uterus. This was my first pregnancy and there wasn't any trauma to affect my uterus at all during the pregnancy.  The doctors are baffled and can't give us any answers right now as to whether we could carry full term with another baby or not.
Has anyone ever heard of a uterus rupture, and whether carrying in the other lobe of their bicornuate uterus has delivered a baby before?

Mandy - this is such a detailed question that I'm afraid it will take an expert opinion.  I suggest that you go to "ask the doctor" forum, click on the desired forum and ask the doctor.  It will cost $22 but that's such a small amount when wanting to get some answers.  I'm very sorry that this has happened - best of luck to you and I hope you et answers soon - jen
