Bicornuate uterus- baby had IUGR, low fluid, Hypertonicity, SUA, metabolic disorder

I have a bicornuate uterus.  My first son (23 months old) was born early but is great!  I was on bedrest for 6 weeks & had him at week 36.  My 2nd pregnancy was the same way, but at 25 weeks, he had Interuterine growth restriction & my fluid was VERY low. He was also found to have a single umbilical atery.  At 30 weeks, I went on bedrest & started seeing specialists every week.  At 37 weeks, they induced due to the risk of a stillbirth.  Now, at 3 months, he has hypertonicity ("overtight muscles- a neruological thing" and a metabolic disorder).  We go to a specialist this Friday to learn more.
My question is- we want one more baby, but obviously I am too scared with the outcome- each pregnancy has been worse then the first.  I am thinking of asking the Dr. to do that surgery to fix my BU.  Has anyone had any experience with any of this?
Thank you!

Hi there,
My 7 yr old had a lot of developmental delays and hypertonicity as well. At 1 year he was 80-90% behind in development and we had no idea what was wrong despite numerous genetic and chromosomal tests. He's "fine" now with the exception of ADHD but we'll take it. :0). Because of how stressful that scenario was and the worry about having another child with issues (we have 3, our first, now almost 10 was normal), we have just now had our 3rd and he is a completely happy, mellow, normal 2 1/2 month old. I understand fully the worries of having another and you have to do a lot of soul searching about what you can withstand and what you can't. We decided in the end that we would "take what God gave us" and even opted out of amnio despite my "fears" that I was going to have a baby with Down's although we would have fully accepted that diagnosis had we been given such a child.

My advise is to get a lot of expert advice, but also to listen to your heart. I knew in my heart we had to have a 3rd and I knew it would be okay one way or another, no matter who it was that God blessed us with...but it took us 7 years to get to that point, hence me being 40 having my 3rd!! But it was the BEST decision we have ever made and he is the absolute joy of our life and the glue to oru family.

Good luck!
