Birthing Classes

Does anyone know when you are supposed to start birthing classes?  I keep forgetting to ask my doc. and I am now in my 5th month and still have not even signed up for classes.

Sign up as soon as possible as classes fill up very fast. Don't start them too early (I think recommended time is 28 weeks) or else you'll forget what you learned! Good Luck!

My doctor wanted me to start at 8 months. We never did go (we aren't morning people, sleep seemed more important that day) and we did just fine. BUt i would never advocate that to someone. I think the only reason my hubby did so well is that my mom was there telling him what to do : )I had been through it before with 2 of my friends, so I felt like an old pro : )

The previous post is correct, sign up as eary as you can, but don't actually take the course until you are in your last trimester. Some hospitals also offer some really neat classes in a package along with the childbirth class. You may want to check those out too!
