Bleeding, is it a miscarriage?

by Debbie A, Mar 03, 2003 12:00AM
Hi,

I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago, haven't been to the doctor yet.  I started bleeding this morning, it lasted about 6 hours, I'd say semi-heavy bleeding.  Later in the evening it started coming out brown colored blood.  Should I take another home pregnancy test? or should I just wait it out?
By the way, no pain involved with bleeding.

Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I would call your o/b or hospital just to be on the safe side.

I would definitely call your doctor but I do know that brown blood means it is old blood and usually nothing to worry about.

When I was pregnant I would bleed after sex.  My doctor said nothing to worry about.  But it's scary!!  Good luck...  Debra

Wish you all the best, but if you take a home test, it will still register positive because the hcg will still be in your system even if there was a miscarriage.  Good luck
