Thanks for your reply, Christie. It helped put my mind to some ease. I still haven't gotten my period, but I think this is all just due to going off the pill. I had high hopes of being regular because when I went to the doctor last month, he said it seemed as though I was. Oh well. Now I am wondering if the bleeding last weekend was my period (despite being light).
Any ideas on when I should estimate ovulation to be (if I am ovulating)? I am not sure if I should base it on a 28 day cycle (which was my norm on the pill) or this seemingly new 21 day cycle. I read that it usually takes 6 weeks for a normal period after going off. My doctor told me last month that I should just have sex everyday...it's one of the few demands my husband isn't opposed to ;)
i have the same problem you have, but my irregular periods started when i was 25 but i didn't get any breaks, i bleed for 6 months straight, , the doctors told me cuz it might be of weight gain and im not ovulating either just bleeding..but it doesn't seem like it..so my doctor had me go on estrogen pills, and take progesteron pills after, and i got my period regular again, but then a year later, it went back to long periods, so i got a D&C, that didn't work either, it was suppose to go away after 2 weeks of surgery, but i was bleeding for another 2 months, then he gave me birth control, and i had to take 4 of them for 5 days, it was Yaz that he gave me, that helped also, that seemed to be the only BC that worked, but he changed me to another one which ortho trycyclin lo..that didn't work, so my husband and i finally decided we wanted to have kids, cuz we are nervous and scared that we might lose our chance in having a baby if this continues..so he gave me clomid, to help me ovulate and i haven't had any bleeding for 3 weeks, up until now im starting to spot...so i don't know how else to help, but just let you know what i was going through also, there are a lot of options your doctor can give you, its all about trial and error i guess, cuz im still dealing with it..i hope all goes well, and your doctor is better then mine, cuz he's like my 5th doctor, and it sucks..take good care
My husband and I have tried to conceive for the past five years. In January I was put on Chlomid at a fertillity clinic, my ovulation was timed via sonogram, I was sent home to do "homework". That didn't work. The next month we did it all over only this time we did insemmination, this however didn't work either. For my emotional wellbeing I decided to take a break. When my period came the 19th of March I didn't use chlomid. My next period is due the 16th of April based on a 28 day cycle, mine is actually 35 days, making it due the 23rd of April. This past week I started spotting blood just enough to tint the toilet paper, and slightly more after intercourse. It only lasted three days. Why is this happening? Is it because it's my first month off of chlomid in a while or could I be pregnant?
If you had ovulation issues before pill use, I am guessing that those issues still may be there. Consult your doctor.
Take a pregnancy test if you are not sure about what is happening, or get a blood test (better if your periods are irreg).
