Bleeding during early pregnancy

Hi, I am new to this site....I have a question regarding bleeding in pregnancy. I took a pg test 2/26/06. It came out positive...According to my LMP, I would now be close to 6 weeks. I have been bleeding since the first day. I have had my HCG levels monitored and the numbers keep doubling as they should. I had an ultrasound the other day and nothing was able to be seen yet. My dr. says she thinks it was too early. I go to get my levels done again today, so i won't find out until tomorrow. Has anyone had this happen to them?

I had bleeding with my second child at 6 to 7 weeks and went on to have a health pregnancy. With my third pregnancy, I bleed 5 weeks and on. I found out that I had an Ectopic pregnancy and had it removed at 8 wks. I am now pregnant and started bleeding at 6 weeks to 10 weeks and I am no longer bleeding. I am now 16 wks pregnant. The Dr said that I had a really sensitive cervix which was causing the bleeding. I hope everything works out for you. Keep us informed.

Hello! I believe that is normal. My mom said she was bleeding for the first four months when she was pregnant with me. I am now 24 so I think you are going to be just fine. You do need to keep a watch though. Congratulations !!!! By the way! I am so glad you were able to be successful. I think there is a chance I might be pregnant as well. I keep getting negatives on the home pg tests but I went to the local health dept. and the nurse said that with what I described to her, she thinks I need to take a blood test. I am soooooooo scared because I REALLY want a child. I have not been so successful and I knowe it is going to CRUSH me if it says no too.

i have never had constant bleeding in a pregnancy but have had on and off spotting.  It is too early to see on the us but its a good sign that your numbers are doubling.  My last pregnancy ended in m/c but i started spotting and 10 days later naturally m/c.  this pregnancy i had spotting after sex at 8wks and spotting after straining at 14 weeks.  I am 14 1/2 weeks and we have seen the baby and had a healthy hb.  I will be thinking of you and i hope your tests come back w/ good news!!!

Hi! I'm 5wks 4 days and I started spotting yesturday afternoon, it's off and on,no cramping but to day I have a slight back ach. . I had my first appt yesturday so I'm waitng to here if my HCG levels are doubling. I had spotting with my last two pregnancys, the only thing is I don't really have any symptoms with this pregnancy and that makes me nervous because I had all the symptoms with my last two pregnancys.

This is my 7th pregnancy and I have not had a successful one yet. I've had 2 miscarriages and 3 ectopics. This one is just not the same as any of the other ones. I didn't ever bleed sp early on and it I always had pain with the ectopics. Not really feeling that now. My husband says 7 is our lucky number. I just keep praying that everything will be ok.  Good luck to everyone!!

Well here the thing, I will start back in January 2006. I got a positive on a hpt and 3 days later I got my af. Well I only bled for 3 days. I normally go 4 days. Afterwards I only got negtives. Now from Jan. to Feb.20th I was burning in my nipples everyday. Feb. 21st I got my af which was a Tues. I went tues. Wed. Thurs. Fri.normal to heavy flow.I went off and on starting and stopping Sat. Saturday night nothing at all. I got up Sun.and felt light headed alittle. I Went to a musieum and I made a restroom stop and discovered I had started again. That night nothing again and Monday nothing. Well I woke up Tues. of the following week and I was spotting again. I have had no spotting or burning of nipples but I am tired. I am itching in my sides and I am sworn in my stomach. I am having abdomnal (abdominal) pains upper and lower. I went to the health dept. Andthe nurse checked me for pg with a urine test it was negtive.She also gave me my annual and she said I had NO Bacteria and NO Infections whatsoever. She is having my refered to a clinic to be tested by and blood test. She said I am having to many symptoms and somthing is going on. She thinks pregnancy is a possibility.

I had my period for 2 wks in feb. Then i went 3 days after my period and i started to spot brown. I was spottin a wk str8. Then it would stop n come bak. My boobs r bigger, they hurt, my stomach looks like im bloated, tired, cranky, pee'in alot. I dont know what is goin on. someone said it is juss old blood but not all the other things would b happenin.

I think that as long as you're not experiencing pain and passing clots then the bleeding should be ok and not necessarily indicate a problem with the pg. Good luck.

when you ladies say that you had bleeding was it like a normal period.  I am asking because about a week ago I got my bfp, but then i started to bleed like af.  it was normal no pain and no clots, and i am wondering if this was a miscarriage or what.  the bfp was very faint and i haven't taken a test yet.  the bleeding stopped several days ago and i took a opk this morning and the lines are already the same color and dark.  any ideas. thanks.

mine was not like a normal period. its very lite. only have to wear a lite pad. i dont have to wear one to bed juss during to day.

So you were having bleeding like AF?  I just started bleeding it was 2 weeks late but there was no clots or pain, and a couple of days before that i got my light bfp

Hi ladies, I'm new, and really glad to have this kind of support.  I've been having the same symptoms, frequent peeing, zinging in my bb's, but they aren't very sore.  feeling bloated, lightheaded, backache, cramping, even pain in belly-button, but not for long, I even had a cramp in my foot one day, which reminded me of my last pregnancy (which was my first and I unfortunately miscarried at 6 wks).  I've had these symptoms for 2wks now, and have tested twice.  have also bled twice (1st time just for 3 days light bleeding brown-pink color, started yesterday again, same thing.  
Now I know that bleeding early in pregnancy especially around the same time as your period is normal cause this could be implantation bleeding (when the fertilized egg is attaching itself to the uterus lining) color should be brown-pink.  And is sounds like a lot of you are having that.  I suggest waiting one more wk and test again.  However if you're having shoulder pain and cramps with your bleeding (severe pain) it could be a miscarraige (miscarriage) or ectopic pregnancy.  In my case, I've bled twice now, and really don't know what's going on.  I guess only time will tell huh?

I have a question too can you guys offer any advice? this is my first experience! My period came on February 17th, which was two weeks early for me, according top that. march 4th,5th,&6th, was when i was supposed to be most fertile, we had sex on those days, now i am having some bleeding, and my vagina hurt really bad after we had sex the last time, am i having my period? or is there a chance I can still be pregnant?

I actually passed clots the first week I started bleeding so I thought I was miscarrying, but my hcg levels kept rising normally. my doctor says that she thinks i could have been pg with twins and one didn't make it. It's still very confusing. I am still bleeding red like it is my af. i'll find out the levels tomorrow that i took today. i just hope things will work out.

Ok I am kind of worried....... I have not had a period  the month of Feb. I have taken 2 tests and both were negative. The last test I took was 3 days ago. This morning I woke up after a bad dream and went to the restroom and had some blood when  I wiped. Not much just a little. A little lite cramping off and on. I laid down drank water and juice and used the restroom about 6 more times. About 3 out of the six had a little more blood. I usually start and FLOOD all over with HEAVY cramping.It is totally different. I sit and the cramps subside and no bleeding???? Could I be pregnant? I am having some dull back ache. What Is going on. I thought I was pregnant and I just took the test too early. Now I don't know! It is all so different than anything that I have experienced before. I am always right at 25 -28 days. Normal periods and lots of blood and cramps for 5 -6 days. I just want to know one way or the other! I felt a lot of symptoms know I feel CRAZY.......

O.k so the waiting game is over. I called my Dr and she said to get a First Response Test and take it. If I was pregnant to go to the Emergency Room if  I was still bleeding RED blood. She said it should only be Pinkish or Brown. So I am  officialy NOT pregnant. My mind really did wonders on me the past 2 weeks. I was real moody sore brests and peeing a lot. I also was smellimg everything more intensly and eating a lot!! I thought I WAS Pregnant. Well we will try next time. I am not too Upset. I needed to know either Way..... SIGGHHhhh..... I guess It will happen at the right time!!

I am 6 weeks 3 days and i am having bleeding. i have never been pregnant before and i am clueless. i saw one drop - super small clot on tuesday - i called my ob - the office had me get a stat ultrasound - they saw something small next to my ovary and a sac in my uterus the size of exactly my gestational age.  my ob saw me the next day for an exam  - she said i was spotting - but if i was going to miscarry - there was nothing to do.  they drew my blood for hcg levels and sent me home.  i went to work the next day - i am an o.r. nurse - about half way through the day i experienced some bleeding - it wouldn't have soaked a panty liner - maybe half.  I went home - the doctor's office said my hcg level was low but normal.  I went in the next morning for another hcg test and i asked if they ran a progesterone level - they hadn't - i asked them to run one this time - but i  have to wait until monday to see if my levels are  climbing. the bleeding the whole time has been very dark with very small clotting - i basically only bleed when i have to urinate.  i will sleep the whole night with no bleeding. the only information i have read on the blood clots are when they are substantial in size - please tell me anythingthat you can - i so want this baby.

hi im new to this as well i have 3 children all pregnancies went ok. i found out i was pregnate on the 9/03/06 i had alot of stress as my husband has deppression and we argued yesterday and i got taken into my local hospatial.  they tried to scan me there but couldn't see anything so they did a urine preg test which came back faint but poss.  they took blood from me and i have to go back on monday to give more bllod to check some levels in it but today at 3 oclock i started bleeding like i was having a period.  i haven't had normal periods for along time so when i found out i was preg i was so surprized. im not bleeding as heavy as i was earlyier and only got slight what i would call period pain that go away with parcetermol.  I so worried that i could be losing the baby as any one else had this so early in there preg at all. advice welcomed.. thanks for reading this....

i had my last menstrual cycle on 01/25/06. i had a tubal ligation 8 years ago, people tell me i can still get pregnant. I have all symptoms of pg nausea, breast tenderness, frequent trips to the bathroom. 01/09/06 i had some spotting nothing much just when i wiped after going to the bathroom was kinda brownish. on 01/11/06 i had red bleeding so much so i had to wear a pad. had some cramping for about an hour then stopped cramping but still bled for two more days, after which it was spotting again for two days. no more bleeding but now i just have a achy, bloated feeling in my lower abd and some backache. this is so different than with my other three boys. i am with a new man that has not been able to have kids and so it means the world to me if i am pg. i haven't been to the dr. yet guess i'm just scared he's gonna tell me i'm not pg. hpt have never been accurate with me. the last pg took 6, 3 were +, 3 were -. go figure. has anyone had this problem?

Hi, I am just over 6 weeks pregnant. Last friday night I started spotting, very light brown as if I were about to start my period and only visable on toilet paper. This has continued on and off with the occasional pink spot too, and I am a little concerned as to whether this is a definate sign of a miscarriage or would I have felt other syptoms (symptoms) by now if this was going to happen? I have no pain or anything else, but my other worry is I dont really feel pregnant yet either apart from occasional sore swollen breasts. This is my first pregnancy and have been looking forward to this for sometime, I would be heart broken if it didnt work out. I had another blood test yesterday to check my hcg levels and am due to get an ultrasound next week. Hopefully things will be ok, is anyone experiencing similar things, or have done so and ended up ok? Thanks.

Hello to all.  I am new to this and I am very young. I am 18 years old so of course I am probably not as informed about htis topic as you all are but I have a question.  I have been on birth control for roughly 4 years now.  I have NEVER had a pregnancy scare. However, I was supposed to start my period last wed and i didn't start until friday. I coudl accept that.  But the problem is I only bled for half a day then I didn't bleed again for 2 days and it was just a light pink when I wiped.  Then on Sunday i bled again for about half a day.  It is now tuesday and I have yet to start bleeding again.  Do you think I could be pregnant?  I have a pregnancy test but if i don't have anything to worry about then I don't want to use it.

hi everyone i am in the same boat as you guys i started spotting last wed. after sex and went to dr. wasnt much he could do i have to go back tommorow for blood work if i am still pregant i will be seven weeks i also take prometrium twice a day for low progestrone i still feel pregant even though i have bled four days and the hpt still says pos but all of this worry is making me crazy so i am glad to know i am not by myself.

Hi guys ;) I'm 18 ok and recently iv been eperiencing things with my body that has never happened before, like breast we're in agony for like a week , I had what I think was a period althogh it only lasted 3 days , I feels sick :@ , I'm moody, really tired, need to pee and also craving food I woldnt normally eat ie ( chicken) lol, I can't stand curry makes me sick usually loved it do you guys think I should test? I have been having cramps and bleeding locts so bad be4 I had a peg test and it was positive. After which went to the clinic and it come out positive. As for now the bleeding redused and so is the cramps

Uhm, well I have a question. Me and my boyfriend had sex this weekend while I was highly intoxicated and he shot in me five times. The day after, I immediately started bleeding much heavier than usual and I have been flowing over even supet tampons. Please help I am scared. What does this mean???
