Breast Feeding Question

by Mom2be530, Dec 14, 2007 12:26AM
I wasn't all that great with breast feeding when my son was a baby.  I only made it two weeks with him and it just became to much for me at the time.  I started work and school when he was 4 weeks old, I was gone all day, and pumping just wasn't allowed in my schedule.  Times have changed and I'm no longer able to work, so I will have the time to try master the breast feeding thing this time around.  I have a question, but I'm not sure if anyone will know the answers.  Can I still breast feed even though I have a port??  With my health issues and nutrition challenges, will I still be able to breast feed??  Or would that make my breast milk not worth it??  I want to start finding out about it now, so if it is a option for me, I'll know what to try or expect.  Any advice from those who have been able to breast feed in the past??
