I tried breastfeeding with my second son and I was so sore and engored that I gave up, I dont want that to happen this time. Any advice? Is it true you should use a pump while your in the hospital to help bring the milk in? Also what is your opinion on nipple shields?

i have a question for you. i am 28, first time soon to be mommy. i had bilateral breast reduction done when i was 21. i have the circular scars around my nipples that indicates they were relocated, but the doctor who did my procedure has closed up shop and i have no way of finding out whether my milk ducts were salvaged or not.

is there anyway to tell? have you been able to help women nurse or heard of thngs to help women nurse after breast surgery?
