Breast soreness

Okay I am 12 and freaking out my right breast is so sore around the nipple area and it hurts to touch and feels all tingly when nothing is touching it. This started two days ago a day right after my period and since then I had been wearing a sports bra during the day and no bra when I'm sleeping but it still hurts its gotten a lil better but not by much help me is this normal for someone my age??? :(

Usually when the breasts start to develop, they do the same thing at the same time, like feel harder, etc.  If you've gotten your period by now, your breasts might already have gone through that.  Those two things together suggest you might have had a slight case of mastitis.  It's also possible that some discharge was happening, and it blocked the duct ... sometimes a gentle cleaning with a Q-tip (using a magnifying mirror if you have one) can clean away discharge and the breast feels a whole lot better.  There are a whole lot of little creases in the nipple itself that can get skin oils or other substances in them, and those can sometimes gently be removed either with a Q-tip with clean water, or in the bath with a bath mitt.  If that doesn't help, and soaking in warm water doesn't help, you might see a doctor.
