C-Section Recovery (Scar)

by godsgift030308, Mar 16, 2008 01:52PM
I had a C-Section 03/03/08 It Bled just that once, now it is 03/16/08 The scar is like letting out this tiny amount of ooze, Is this normal? I would love to know because this is all new to me. I am a first time mommy and I want to make sure that this is either normal or not so I can call my doctor.

I am a first time Mommy too and I also had a csection. I had mine on 01/10/08. My doctor told me that it shouldn't ooze anything or bleed and that if it did to call the office. My advice would be to call him and let him know!

I've never had a c-section (and hopefully won't need one with our first little one on the way) but I have had major abdominal surgery... if your incision is sewn/stapled/glued to be closed, it shouldn't ooze. That's a sign of infection usually I believe. Call your doctor ASAP. :) Better to be safe than sorry and congrats on the new baby. :)

I had a c-section with my daughter and I don't remember any bleeding or oozing. You should call the doctor just to be safe. Good luck and congrats!
