C-section bleeding

5824526?1277225000
My wife has started bleeding almost 8 months after her C-section. She has been currently breast feeding and was told by a Doctor that she shouldn't be having a period....her blood is very heavy and bright red ..no clots or cramping...The insicion it self has always hurt..it's healed up,but bumpy and bothers her when touched.. Is this normal for a 1st time C-section mother?

Thank you,
Worried Father.

to be honest,  my incision feels numb/slightly painful 2 1/2 years following my last (and 3rd) incision in this area.  I had a lot of scaring after the first, less after the second and far less after the 3rd (this is the bumpy look you are refering to-  scar tissue),  but they were all done by different doctors.  I am not sure what "hurts" is to her,  but if my son presses or steps RIGHT on the incision it bothers me...  I wouldn't call it PAIN really...  Not sure how to identify what it feels like...  but if she is worried about it she could get it checked out.

I did not bf very long,  but I know lots of women who get pregnant with their second/third, etc child while breastfeeding,  so like the above posters said,  it is pretty normal.

She needs to get her insicision checked out! It should not still be causing her any pain!

I had two sections myself and breastfed and my period returned around 6 months! It is very normal for her cycle to return. Not sure why her OB told her that!

Very normal for her period to be returning.   Also, I had a c-section and did not experience any pain after a week or two.  It should not be bothering her 8 months later.
