C-section scar still bleeding

I had a c-section 5 weeks ago, and was wondering about how they heal. Mine is still oozing and bleeding every now and then, is this normal. Its not alot of blodd, but I was wondering if anyone else's ever did it. Thanks

Not after 5 weeks! I would go see your doc about that. Until then, take it easy. I had a friend who's scar opened back up. It wasn't all that painful (for her anyawy..she has a high tolerance), but she was put on strict bed rest until it rehealed...and when it did, the scar wasn't pretty!

P.S. I had 4 c-sections and all of mine had stopped bleeding by a week or two (and I really don't think it was even that close to two).

mine stopped bleeding with a couple of days, but never really bled at all (just a drop or two here or there). have you had it checked at all since you were released? is it warm to the touch? mine was 2 weeks ago, and the external incision isn't sore anymore (although i can still feel the internal ones). is it still sensitive to the touch?

I had a c-section 5 weeks ago as well and mine never bled after the hospital.  I know when I had my staples removed they said there could be a little bit of discharge, but I never had any.  I would call your doc.  You want to be sure you aren't infected.

I have had 2 c-sections and never had any bleeding after the first day.  You should get it checked because you could have an infection.  I did get an infection with my second one.  It is very important after you shower that you dry it really well and expose it to air as much as possible.  If you do have an infection they will probably give you a cream or antibiotic to take of it.

No it should not be doing that. Soundss like you have an infection. I had gotten one with mine.
Go to your doc asap.
