My suggestion would be to address your health problems before TTC so you can minimize your meds as much as possible and be in the best possible shape for your pregnancy.
I would be more worried about the affect of the meds on the baby, not how it would affect your chance of conceiving. I really think your Dr. can answer this question. Good luck!
Anti-dressents like Prozac are Class B medications, meaning that it is recommended that it be discontinued during pregnancy unless deemed medically necessary by a physician.
I've been on Prozac for about 10 yrs. and went off for the birth of my first child thinking it was necessary. I was off last year trying to get pregnant and have had several miscarraiges etc. I decided it was best to go back on because of the way I was feeling and my Dr. said it was o.k. to be on it during pregnancy. I'm still attemping to get pregnant and have been reassured that many mothers are on anti-depressants while pregnant. I was worried at first, but after talking to many other moms and Dr.'s, it has reassured me. You have to do what is best for you and your baby. If the doctor says it's o.k. and you feel fine with it, go for it. If not, then have your Dr. wheen (sp?) you off the drug. Good luck with everything and if you have any other questions, just ask. Have a great weekend.
