Hello everyone.
This kind of goes with what Bailee5 started yesterday.
This is for everyone who has or is taking clomid.
I would like to know what mg you were/are on, what cycle days you took it, how long you took it, and the outcome. (pregnancy)
My doctor just changed how long I take it (from five days to seven) and am wondering about the success rate.
Ok, so maybe I'm getting a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys anxious for a baby :)
I took 50mg clomid for 2 rounds. 1st round it was days 3-7 and 2nd round days 2-6. I up the day cuz I heard the earlier you take it the better the success rate is for conceiving. And I got my BFP on the 2nd round (days 2-6)!!!! ;o)My AF was due yesterday, so I'm 4weeks 1day today. Oh and BTW, my progestrone before clomid was 0.6, my progestrone in the 1st round was 47! (I sure hope its that high now being preggo, I'm anxious to test just to be on the safeSafe driving for teens Safe sex side).
When I was taking clomid, I wondered about why some take it longer then 5 days and it was reported that it may take longer for some women to respond to it so the doc has you take it longer to make sure its in your system and working. What days are you taking it? I wish you all the best! Clomid really really works! I researched all sites on it and almost everyone conceived w/in 6 months, mostly being 1-3rounds.
I am now on my third cycle of clomid. My first cycle I was on it days 5-9 and had one "egg". Didn't get preggo. Second cycle same days and had 12-14 "eggs". None got mature enough. Now my doctor is having my try in cycle days 3-9.
I want a baby so bad that I'm hoping this works.
i took 50mg clomid for 4 months. at the end of the 3rd month hubby did a sa and found out he is low. so on the 4th try we also did iui.(oddly enough, the doctors now think that i actually got pg 5 days to a week before the iui, so we spent 230.00 for no reason....oh well i'm pg now)
good luck

This is my 8th cycle on clomid.I take day 3-7 and a 150mg.Every month when they do an u/s the egg is the right size.I don't understand why I'm not pregnant yet.
This lady called the office today looking for a job and we talked on the phone quite some time.Out of the blue she asks me if I have any children? I told her no and then she says "honey, don't stress yourself out,you will have a baby.Don't think about it and trust in God that it will happen.ALL I SAID WAS NO,I DON'T HAVE ANY CHILDREN AND SHE WENT ON AND ON,she really made me feel so much better. She also told me that she was pregnant with twins 5 years ago and they were stillborn at 7 months and then I really knew that God had sent this lady to me today.I also had a stillborn and we both agreed that we could handle a miscarriage so much better, instead of a stillborn.
Isn't it wierd how people just pop up unexpected when your down the most?

That is how I feel about this site. I felt I couldn't talk to anyone (besides DH) about my concerns with not getting pregnant. Then I found this site.
I feel the same way you do. Wondering why it isn't happening when everything "falls" into place.
I'm taking clomid, but I also ovulate on my own. I've had my tubes checked and my husband is fine.
Have you had your husband checked?
It's kind of weird that my husband and I have been thinking that there could be a high probability that we could have twins.
When I was in grade school, I use to tell everyone that when I grew up I was going to have identical twin daughters. I had forgotten about that until I started clomid. So maybe it will come true.
I send you lots of baby dust your way.
Funny thing about my doctor... I have PCOS- he put me on Glucophage 500mg 3 times a day- did a progesterone test the first month and then had me take the same dose for 6 months before he tested again to find out I didn't ovulate. At that point, I asked for Clomid (called the nurse and left a message) she called back and put me on Clomid...at the time I didn't know that Ultrasound and blood test were pretty much the norm so I didn't question it- but now I'm really wondering.... I thought it was kind of strange that he put me on 50mg for 7 days the first time....but he's been in practice a long time and is partnered with a really successful fertility clinic in Dallas so I guess he knows what he's doing. When I call for a refill though (unless by some small miracle this works the first time) I'm going to ask him about it.
Since you're on Clomid too- are the hot flashes and cramps killing you? They sure are me. Today is day 14 and I've had so many hotflashes.... I want to strip off every spare piece of clothing and go run in the sprinklers outside!!! My A/C just can't keep up!
Sorry to say I haven't had too many side affects. I'm a hot blooded person anyway, so I'm always hot. The only thing that I did notice was I get very very moody.
My first cycle I had to have a u/s every other day. The second time I went once and then their machine broke. I just started clomid again (2nd day) and I go for a U/S next Thursday.
To me that seems early, but the nurse said that they wanted to see me before the weekend. I'm also on 500mg of gluchage (sp?) twice a day. I have been on it since June 03.
I have heard that being on both clomid and gluchage at the same time, up the chances of conception.
funny they haven't upped your dosage on the Glucophage. Everything I've read about it says 1000 mg a day isn't enough. Typical dosing is 500mg 3 times a day or 875mg twice a day with a maximum of 875mg 3 times a day thought to be safe. Wonder why they haven't increased that after this long? Weird.
OK GIRL,
TODAY IS GETTING TO BE MORE WIERD.YOU KNOW I HAD THAT CONVERSATION WITH THAT LADY TODAY AND SHE TOLD ME ABOUT HER 2 TWINS THAT WERE STILLBORN?WELL,NOW THAT YOU TOLD ME,WHAT YOU'VE BEEN SAYING SINCE GRADE SCHOOL?I HAVE ALWAYS SAID THAT I WANTED TO HAVE TWINS,TOO!MAYBE ONE OF US WILL GET THEM.I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET ON CLOMID.
YES,MY DH HAS BEEN TESTED AND HE'S FINE.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?I LIVE IN ATLANTA.
Stacie30-I'm taking the glucophage for insulin resistant. Both my mom and my grandmother were diabetics. I don't know if you know much about it, but what it means is that my pancreas shoots out insulin to regulate my sugar.
That will totally mess up the ovulation process. Higher doses of glucophage can be bad on a regular basis. It can cause kidney and liver damage. I also take another med that can affect them to, so I'm doubled whammy. Every six months I have to have blood drawn to check and make sure that my kidney's and liver are ok.
Engel-Hum? I wonder if there is anything to this? Out of all the people that women found you and we saw each others questions on this forum. I also couldn't wait to be on clomid. I told my doctor that I was tired of not being able to get pregnant.
You said that you had a stillborn? Can I ask what happened?
I'm here to listen if you need someone.
I live in Colorado and my real name is Karla.
MY POST IS RUNNING OUT OF SPACE.I'M GOING TO LIST WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AS MY STORY.....LOOK FOR IT.(IT'LL BE UNDER JULY 3.
NICE TO MEET YOU KARLA,BY THE WAY MY NAME IS BIANCA AND I'M 28.
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TAKING CLOMID, ACTUALLY STARTING TOMARROW. KINDA SCARY IN THAT I HAD MY SON 3 MONTHS PRE MATURE AND HE PAST AWAY ON 1/25/08.I CAN'T GO THROUGH THAT AGAIN, DO YOU CARRY BABIES FULL TERM ON CLOMID?

Did your doctor say why he didn't want to u/s.
My doctor won't let me get away without having them done.
