CLOMID

by Adevotee, Apr 09, 2006 12:00AM
I have a quick question to anyone who has gotten pregnant from taking clomid. I am currently on round 3 of clomid and am just wondering how many rounds of clomid it took you to get pregnant.

I took 7 cycles of clomid and was told that if this last cycle didn't work for us that they were sending me to a specialist. Well, it didn't work so I am going to call today and see who they refer me to. I know some people who have gotten pregnant right away taking clomid. I think it's different for everyone. Have they checked to make sure that it is making you ovulate?
Best of luck to you!

nope. They haven't done anything since I started taking it. If we don't get pregnant this cycle I will be going back to my OB/GYN..

What is your dosage that you are on now?  They started me out at 50, then the next month bumped it up to 100 and then they bumped it up to 150. They finally checked me back in December I think it was, to see if it was working and they said that it was.  My doctor has not wanted to see me at all since I've been on the clomid, which upset me a litte. I don't really care for this doctor, so I guess it's a good thing I go and see a specialist.  Have you had any other tests done to see if it's anything else that is the problem?  I've had all kinds of tests done. My last one was to see if my tubes were blocked. They weren't which was good, it just helped  put my mind at ease.  With my situation it's just frustrating because they can't seem to find anything wrong. We've been trying for a year and a half. Again, good luck to you.

i have conceived twice on clomid. it worked for us the first month each time. that being said here is the method we used 2 50mg pills for 5 days starting on cycle day 5. then we bd cycle days 11-20. EVERYDAY!, just to make sure we covered all our bases. it worked but there is alot of effort. i have also told several friends who were not having luck with clomid, when they did this method faithfully they were pg that month. give it a try, can't hurt anything. i go to a specialist and the times i take clomid he will have me come in to see if i have ovulated and just to make sure everything is going ok. good luck!!!

I was on Clomid for 1 year at 100mg and didn't get preg (very sad) My docor final got me in to a fertility clinic and in 2 cycles of IUI I was preg!! we had a beautiful baby girl now 1year old, when she was about 5 months I went back on the Clomid and 1 cycle of IUI and I was preg but miscarried at 6 weeks. I am now waiting for AF to come was due to get it on Mar31, did 2 test and both were BFN so all I can do is wait for it to come and we will be going back on the Clomid for another try!! Good Luck with the Clomid it worked for me!!
