CONFUSED- POSITIVE PREGNANCY AND BLOOD TEST BUT HCG NOT HIGH ENOUGH

HELLO,

I just want to know, I have been having a faint positive home pregnancy test for about 8 days now. We have been trying to get pregnant for almost 6 months. For the first time this month I have been getting faint positives and had a positive blood test, but the dr said that my blood test count is not high enough according to my days past ovulation. and that it could be a cyst or chemical pregnancy. however my home pregnancy test got a bit darker but not so much that I can say for sure that I am pregnant. How can a cyst cause a positive? What if my hormone isn't rising as fast as it should be?

I myself have gone through this, had a positive preg test even got blood work and my HCG levels were not riseing so as a result I had a chemical pregnancy that ended. Then again a few months later found out was pregnant again this time my levels were riseing the way the should be to only discover baby was in my tube pregnancy had to be ended.Your levels should double every few days just keep going to your Dr and keep checking your levels.I had a few cysts as welljust keep your dDr appointments best of luck to you sweetie

I have fibroids and cysts. I'm beginning to think it's a genetic thing. Anyway, because they are growing in the uterus, it can cause your body to create the chemical that your body produces when you are pregnant. Have you had a 2nd blood test done to compare? If not, I would get a 2nd blood test done to determine levels. If they are still low, they should be doing an ultrasound on you to determine what/where things are going on. If this doctor you are seeing is not doing anything to determine what is going on, I would go to someone else.

You can still get pregnant with fibroids and cysts. I have one that is the size of a softball and made it full term with a healthy baby girl. We are trying for our 2nd and having trouble, but still trying. If you haven't yet, get on prenatals why you are trying.

Hope you get some answers soon!
