Can I stop taking progesterone before day 15?

by niki0910, Mar 03, 2009 08:09AM
My Dr. put me on 100mg of progesterone suppositories 2x a day to try to help me get pregnant. I have been taking them for 10 days now and I already got 2 negative pregnancy tests. Since i already know im not pregnant, can i stop taking the progesterone so my next cycle will come sooner and I can try again? When should i expect to get my period and next ovulation?

I'd personally prefer for you to get advice over how to take (or stop taking) prescription medications from the doctor who prescribed them.

Good luck, post back and let us know what he/she says.

I was in the same boat as you. My doc advised if still at 14 dpo as neg test to stop and wait for period. My period did not arrive for another 10 days.   Check with your doc and see what they recommend.
