Can a fetus kick and grow without a heart?

Can a fetus kick and grow without a heart?

I just found out that a baby that i had to teminate in 1992, not only had water in the brain, but had spina bifida, deformed hands, feet and they couldnt find the heart.  But when i went in i felt him kicking.. Oh yeah he was my son!! I have 4 daughters now and i just found out he was my little boy...  So i was wondering if my little boy had a heart..

I found out all of this information from getting my medical records.  Just found out yesterday.  I also have 2 daughters with a developemntal problem.. Which i think had to do with a major plant in my neighborhood so im trying to get info.

Thanks for listening/helping..

I'm sorry for your loss. I have no experience with the type of deformities you are mentioning, but I do think it would be extremely hard to connect this with any particular event or location.

Why are you asking about this 12 yrs later????  If they did not find a heart then your baby would not have grown or kicked.  If it never had a heart you would have known that early on I would think when there was no heartbeat.  Sometimes a gas bubble can be mistaken for baby movement I know I have had such things even when I was not pg.   Good Luck to you.

I watch a show on tv about twins. One of the twins would be perfectly formed and the other would have not organs, or no heart, or missing limbs. It said that the second twin that was not viable was living off of the other twin, meaning that the other one was pumping the blood for it and sending it through the cord. The twin that could not make it alone was able to kick and move, just like the other twin. I know you did not have twins, but I wanted to tell you about it. The doctors on the show said that if there had not been 2 babies, the deformed twin would not have lasted very long into the pregnancy, because it would not have had any blood supply. Don't know if this helps you, but there you are.
