Can a urine pregnancy test be positive and a blood test negative?

Hi.
I had 2 positive urine pregnancy tests last week, but when I had a blood pregnancy test performed there were not HCG levels detected. I am not feeling myself and that is why I believe I am pregnant. Today (Monday) I did another urine test and it was positive again. What is it that I could expect?

did they do a quant or quad test? was the blood test just for pos or neg? if so id get a quantative. it will measure what your hcg level is. drs are different, but most say under 5 is definatly not pregnant. of course its up to your dr to decide, but i cant see how that many hpts can be wrong!

You could have had a chemical pregnancy. The hCG enters your blood faster and leaves faster than it does your urine. If you don't get your period I would retest, maybe do the quantitative blood test. I'm not sure which one you had?
