Please can anyone who had a period while pregnant share, my last af was on Dec 25th, was due on jan 29th, but on that day had drops of blood, and it continues today, it is bright red color, very light, can anyone tell me if they had this experience and was pregnant, my normal af is very heavy and lasts for 3-4 days, but this one is different, also me and DH BD every other day this month, tell me if this is a good chance I am or if it is somehting else, any feedback is highly appreciated.

could be implantation bleeding.  when the cells or blastowhatever burrows into the lining of your uterus to start growing and changing.  happened for me about the same time my af was due to show.  it was light and watery.  my usual af's are 8 days/heavy!!  i hope its a bfp for you.  have you taken a hpt?  good luck and best wishes.

I had a period with our daughter. I distinctly remember being really sick, dizzy and hot. I had to leave work early and my hubby went to get me some theraflu. Well, I was just miserable but had no clue that it was because I was pregnant, I had just had my period so that was not a thought at all. When the sickness would not go away, I went into the doctor and she said that I was pregnant. I couldn't believe it! I then told her that I had just had my period a week prior and she said that sometimes that happens.

Hello Everyone!! I am new here. I was searching online about having your period and still be pregnant.... I am 5 days early with AF had some cramping this morning but thats has subsided and just bleeding now a pinkish/red watery type. Exactly 11 days ago I was ovulating so my BF and I had intercouse (Yes we are trying to get pregnant) an im 29 days between AF cycles. So when I woke up with a brown discharge and no cramping once I was up cleaning house and stuff I had gotten crampy and by noon it was like pinkish/red. Could I be pregnant or is this AF visting? take a home pregnancy test.  Spotting in early pregnancy is normal, but you should watch if it gets heavy with clots and if you have cramping.  If you are spotting and pregnant, you will want to get in to see a Dr. asap.  Good luck to you!!

I had a gut feeling the other day to take a hpt, maybe it was intuition or whatever and the results were positive. Soon after I started my period. I was confused so I took another test and that came out positive also. I called the Dr. to set an appt. and the nurse said that there was no way I could be pregnant because I had my period so I took another test (I am very anal) and that came up positive. My dr. ordered a blood test be done and no surprise there the results were positive. She ordered another one because she is dead set on being right. Could I still have my period and be pregnant??? I am going crazy not knowing and I can't get an appt. until the dr is for sure. Anybody have any answers??? Please help

I got my bfp on the 23 of this month. Started spotting on the very next night. Started progesterone cream inserts and it has almost stopped with the exception of a little black brown color on the progesterone as it exits. I go tomorrow for more blood work. How I am praying that all is fine with my little one. I'll keep yall posted. I hope this helps. God bless

i can't believe your doctor thinks your crazy. my husband's grandmother had her period throughout her entire pregnancy with her second child. it happens. most women don't even know they are pregnant. a woman in my support group also had regular periods while she was pregnant. it happens.

I recently read that one out of every three pregnancies start out as twins, but one is miscarried.  I bled heavily 8 weeks into my first pregnancy and was still pregnant, so I think that is what happened to me and very well could be with you.  Tell your doctor to keep up with the literature!!

I had my full regular (3-5 day) period the first trimester with my DS. It really freaked me out because by 6 weeks I was having some round ligament pain and was sure it was ectopic. I had the ultrasound at 7 weeks and everything was where it was suppose to be and that spring I had a healthy, 8lb 10oz, baby boy! He's now 3'tall and 35#'s at 21 months. I know how worrisome it is, but maritial congress with your DH would not normally cause problematic bleeding. I am now 14 weeks and  have had only the slightest of spotting one day in the first month, so everytime it's different. Bright Blessings and Best of Luck!

I'm new to this site and I was reading up on everyone's comments.  I am 13 weeks pregnant and had bleeding at my 8th week and 11th week of pregnancy.  Bright red blood.  Both times my OBGYN did an ultrasound and said everything looked good.  The first time at 8 weeks, he said it was more then likely the implantation.  At 11 weeks he couldn't find a source for the blood, but said "sometimes these things happen without a reason".  I too had a miscarrage (miscarriage) in September of 05 prior to this pregnancy so bleeding of any type is scaring, concerning and confusing.

Try not to worry and have Faith if you can.  Talking to your doctor with any concerns is always the best reasurance.  Especially since a pregnant women's mind worries about EVERYTHING!!!

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me with a questions I have. I have been having some symptoms of pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. My period is not normal this month. Ever since I had surgery my periods of been consistent. Every 28 days on the dot and they always last 5-6 days. This month I got it on the 25th day but it was only spotting. I never spot before my period. Then the next morning I got what I thought was a full period but it seemed lighter and more of a pinkish instead of red. That lasted two days. Since then I have ONLY been bleeding when I use the bathroom. Not at any other time and it isnt that much. I have had some weird things happen with my period before but never this. The only form of protection we use is withdrawl, if you can even consider that protection. The other symptoms I have had are nausea(no vomitting), tired all the time, breast tenderness, bumps on my aereolas(more than the usual), and frequent headaches. Is it possible to be pregnant? I would suggest taking a pregnancy test if you have missed your period. See what it says and go from there. If it is negative and you still dont get it then retest. If you are unsure, call your doctor

I have the exact same symptoms. It has been going on like that for 2 months now. I have taken several HPT tests and they have all come out negative. My breasts are swollen and sore, I have a metallic taste in my mouth, tired, a little nausea, but still have a period like symptom. Just like you described. Have you found anything out since your original posting? I started TTC in Jan. My husband and I worked on it in Jan during my ov cycle. In march, I had the period like symptom. During the time I should of been ov, we did not try, due to me not feeling very well. This month, the same thing. My period was suppose to start on the 4th. this sounds very much like what happened to me . I don't want to upset you but your hcg levels shound always go up never down.  my breast stoped feeling tender and i wan'nt as tired anymore.  i started bleeding and went to the doctor after 3 days of bleeding my levels were already down to 170. if you feel that your breast are not tender any more and that all you symptoms of being pregnant are disappearing than that is a classic sign of miscarriage.

Talk about confused, I had my last period Jan. 28th I took a pregnancy test when I was 2 days late and it was neg.  I took another one when I was 9 days late and it was positive 7 days later I started bleeding heavy and severe cramping!!  I had not been to the doctor yet (they don't usually want to see you until you are 8 wks along) so I called them and I went in for lab work, i tested negative.  She said that I could have been pregnant and lost it very early and when i took the test the second time i could have already lost it, but there was still HCG in my system!!  The doctor did not do an ultrasound, i guess since I tested neg. yesterday even though I could have been.  i would think that they should do one anyway in case there are still remains of the uterus ect... I really need some help here. I'm very unexperienced with this stuff. My period came about a week early, I've had it for almost 2 weeks now. Spotting some days, really heavy other days. The 9 and 10 weeks was due to an STD that I had caught from my bf that he had caught from an ex gf...Making it that it's a miracle i didn't have a miscarriage. Well it turned out to be a tubal pregnancy.  They went in to do the lap and found internal bleeding and damage to the left tube.  The damage to the tube was so bad they had to remove it and I had to have a C-section surgery.  Needless, to say I am very saddened at losing my child.  I have so many things against me:
1. My age - I am 37yrs old
2. I have PCOS
3. I am overweight
4. I have only one tube and two healthy ovaries according to my doctor.

I really need some encouragement.

Hi, I have been googling like crazy. I saw my ld bf about a week & a half ago. Shortly after that my AF came 3 days early (around day 7 after I saw him.) Normally my AF's are very strong, lasting 5-7 days (day 2&3 being my strongest) with heavy cramping & very heavy flow. I sometimes go through 4 or more pads in a day & often leak overnight. Major clots, cervical pressure, the whole nine yards. This AF has been different. It started out as a yucky dk brown discharge which increased & then turned to what looked like a reg. period, if not fairly light, for me anyway. There has been some clotting, but very light and nothing like I usually get. I had some mild weird cramping the first day, barely anything since then. It's definately there when I wipe. Looks like normal AF but not nearly the same amount.  Day 1 I barely used one pad-maybe 60%. overnight about 40% of one pad & day 2 the same as day 1. I am now on day 3, I did hardly anything at all overnight. It is looking the way it does when my AF is finishing up. ???
I read about 'implantation bleeding' and while the timing is right, it seems like I am doing a bit much for that. This is no light spotting or light red blood. Yet it is still much much less than my normal AF. Almost zero cramping.
Has anyone else experienced a light to moderate flow in the first weeks of their pregnancy?
I haven't had any other symptoms except mild nausia which began last weekend & I feel is way too early to be a pregnancy symptom, and some weird mild cramping which began within days of seeing my bf- but I assumed was just AF creeping up. I think it's probably too early to do a test, since my reg. period would have started tomorrow.

I am a 34 year old mom of 2 boys.  I have always had periods that were as predictable as clockwork but after having unprotected sex with my fiance for the last two months something strange has happened and I'm really scared.  First I had severe pain while we were having sex, so bad I had to make him stop.  It was deep in my uterus and it nearly brought me to tears.  Then two days later I started bleeding.  This was 10 days before my period should have started and I have never in my life had an early period.  Now this bleeding has lasted for 8 days and has not lightened up at all.  I've never in my life had a period that lasted longer than 6 days and the last two days have always been super light.  I'm scared I could be pregnant or that something could really be wrong w/ me and I can't get into the doctor for another month.  Can anyone please help?   :o(  Has anyone had these signs while pregnant.  I"m going to take a hpt tonight but I'm still so stressed out.  I just want the bleeding to stop. :o(

hi can anyone help me,  I had my period Aug 15th had sex with husband every other day after that.  I took a pregnancy test this morning it came back positive; but Ive been sick and I took theraflu lastnight and tylenol cold yesterday morning. Can those medicine affected the results, highered my HCG maybe?  My husband and I has been trying for a while now, I went to the Dr this afternoon to get some cold medicine and I told him I might be pregnant, he took blood work and it came back negative.  I have another blood test tomorrow with my infertility doctor.  We just do not want to get our hopes up and have it crushed.   I am having some pregnancy symptoms, for about a week and a half now, little cramping and tugging in the stomach area is it too soon to have that symptom, is it all in my head?

I have had my period regularly ever since it has been pretty regular just less days than normal . and really have had no pregnancy symptoms with the exception of tender bretst and the fact that Ive lost almost 30 lbs and my pants are still tight because my lower abdomen seems to have a growing bulge. all I can think is I might be pregnant...but I have no otehr symtoms what else makes your stomac bulge like that?

Hi.  I posted once, but didn't see my question.  Forgive me if you're reading this for the second time. :)  My husband and I are TTC.  I ovulated on 9/13, and a week later felt extremely bloated, "crampy", followed by feeling very tired and nauseous.  I thought this could be it !  My periods are right on schedule.  It was supposed to come on 9/27, but didn't...  of course I was excited, hopeful... Then on 9/28-9/30 I had a brownish discharge only when I used the restroom.  (I've never had that in place of a period or before a period.)  On Mon. 10/1, I started what appeared to be a normal period, which lasted until 10/3.  I still feel tired, nauseous, but hpt came back negative.  Is there anyone out there who had a similar situation and still found themselves to be pregnant???  Or am I just too hopeful???  Thanks :)

I am a 32 yr old single mothe of a beautiful 13 yr old boy. I can tell you everyone keeps saying that if you have a period you are not pregnant. well I tell you they are wrong. I was three 1/2 months preg with my son by the time i found out. I had my period for the first five months of my pregnancy and everything turned out fine. Dont be stessing yourself over things like this. Just have a test done and or go see your doctor. I wish you all the bes t. Allthough if you can give me some advice on how i can get pregnant i would appreciate it. I have been trying for several years now and have had no luck. The doctor told me to take prenatal vitamins that they would help. However not even that has helped. I have tried everything diets meds exercise yoga everything. reading all these posts...its crazy....every womans body is different...We can never get answers~! I think ppl need to research this stuff more instead of calling us liars because we know our bodies and we know when something is not right.
Right now I am on my period but it is really really strange. My boobs were huge and hurt but when my period started now they dont hurt. But my period is light and brown...so weird. Hi, I am 37. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost two years. Went to doctor in Oct. He started me on Clomid.Then I didn't have a period for two months!!  Multiple preg.test were neg.(Had been pretty regular before that.) Then he had me take Provera to induce a period.
Had a period on Dec. 27 which was lighter and longer than usual. Been checking temps and using ovulation kit. Ovulated on Jan 11-12. On Jan 13 and 14 had dark brown spotting then started heavier bleeding on the 15. Been bleeding( bright red) for three days now. Have an appt. to see fertility specialist on Jan 22. Very confused, don't think this is implantation bleeding but have very sore boobs which is not normal for me during period, also feel bloated and nauseous at times. Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi, am new to this site and i've been trying to get pregnant for a while now. This month my period was suppose to show up on 2/6 but it didn't. two days later when i was cleaning myself in the shower i found some clots and thought i was about to come on but that was it. on 15 i took a preg test and it was negative. the next day i started bleeding not too heavily and no cramps like usual. before all these, i have been having backaches, tender and sore breast, neause but not too strong. the right side of my abdomen has a very funny sensation with a little pain here and there. the funny thing is i have a regular bowel movement that has not happened to me before. i crave for some foods and the smell of others throw me off. I get hungry so quickly and i eat alot now and drink excessive amount of water too. am confused but waiting to see if i have a regular period or not. someone pls tell me what is going on or give some sort of advice.

I have been experiencing very similar things!
From the replies I have gotten over the past few days- the consensus has been that this cluster of "symptoms" sounds like a def. pregnancy!

I am not sure when the HGC level is good to test...

I think it is something like 5 days after Implantation Bleeding is suspected.

My first "sign" has been Severe migraines.
And I am nausea 24/7...

on jan 23-26 i had my period i was not happy beacuse i wanted to have a baby.so i thought i was not pregnant again on feb 3 i saw some bleeding i did a pregnancy test it came out positive. SO i called my doctor the next they she asked me to go and see her so i did. They also did and pregnancy test it came out positive she asked me to go to the er beacuse i saw bleeding. So i did they did a ultrasound they didn't see anything so they did a blood test and said ur pregnant as of today early pregnany. But after all that i came home and had spotting one or one week later.So on feb 20 i had bleeding like my period but lighter that usually so i did more pregnany test and it's still positive can i be pregnant and have a period help me someone answer me please thankyou

Curious and want to pick your brains...

I'm on birth control pills, and have been experiencing extremely tender breasts, unusually noticeable bloating, severe moodiness/irritability, and headaches for almost 4 weeks now. I had a very light period these past 2 days (way shorter than usual) and AF came 4 days later than it should have. A friend jokingly said I could be pregnant even if I had somewhat of a period. I would have laughed it off except for all the other symptoms. 2 weeks ago I was paranoid and ANNOYED with the tender breasts and I took a preg test, which was negative. But now I'm wondering if I took it too early... should I take another?

Any suggestions? My hubby said it could be my pills making me outtawack. Could it be something else? Thanks.

Can anyone help me? My hubby & I have been trying for 6 months.. That time to get my period came a long this month and..I was 1 day late.. high hopes...then had light spotting all day very odd for me. Never had spotting before. So, I took a HPT which was negative. :( Then that night heavy bleeding for 24 hours, then nothing. Weird! The HPt said Neg. But I feel different.

Anyone have any idea whats up with that?

I'm actually a little curious about this bleeding while pregnant too.  I've been reading about it online, but it doesn't completely answer my concerns.  I don't think I'm pregnant and I think that my concern that I could be, stems from people around me having babies and getting pregnant.  However, The past month and especially 2 weeks, I've been having an upset stomach trigured by eating, and then I got my period yesterday and it was heavy in the morning when it started, like normal, but as of today, I'm more just spotting.  I'm usually heavy for 2-3 days and then i taper off.  There was no tapering off this time.  I've also been having alot of heartburn and I just figured it was attributed to the upset stomach.  I don't want to take a test if there is no reason to be concerned.

Hi. Can somebody please help me? Hello everyone, let me tell you my story, I will start of by saying that I’m 22 years old and me and my boyfriend been trying to have a baby for a year and a half. My mother wants a grandchild so bad, it is crazy. My mother had me, my sister, and brother late. She thought she couldn’t have kids. So I think that’s what was going on with me because me and my boyfriend have sex every other day because I don’t know when I’m ovulating. But anyway its been very complicated over the year and a half, I’m very irregular I get my period when it wants to come but I know sometimes it come like every 30-34 days. Ok when my period come I bleed for like 3 to 4 days, the first day it come I bleed very light then medium, the second day it bleed medium then heavy with (clots) and then the third day it gets medium then light again and by the fourth day its going away. When I get my period I get very bad cramp where’s though I’m throwing up and can’t eat nothing on that day or  the day before it comes on. Anyway march 20 I got my period and it was the same routine. So that mean my period should come between the 18-21 of April but it didn’t, it came the 26 on the 38 day. When my period came it was light the whole day with no cramps and the second day it was light then medium with my usually bad cramps and the third day medium then going off. It was crazy because it was 5 days late, it wasn’t heavy and there wasn’t no clot when I always get it by the end of the second day. I have symptoms that I could be pregnant because I’m always bloated, small head ache, gas, eating more then I use to because I stay hungry, and the most thing that bother me is that I pee a lot. I mean, I pee every hour and sometimes I don’t even drink any thing  and I still have to use it. At night I  never got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom but now I got to get up to use the bathroom or else I can’t sleep. It crazy I would take a pregnancy test but my boyfriend said just wait until next month and see what happen because we always getting our hopes up high and it be a false alarm. So I will wait and see what will happen. Oh yea if anyone had that experience or something similar please let me know.

Then yesterday i started bleeding like light pink spotting and then it turned into a dark almost black color and heavier but not like my normal period. could have been a chemical pregnancy. the egg was unable to implant causing you to bleed now like your period which would explain you getting a negative test now.

my period showed up a week late. i have this feeling deep inside that i may be pregnant. my temps did drop and everything appeared to go back to normal. my nipples are a little sore, i feel bloated and constipated. i feel hungry and nauseous in the day and then not hungry but feeling full like i ate too much through out the day. i had cravings for burgers but i think thats gone away, i dont even want a cheeseburger right bow. the period lasted 4 days which seem to be normal. i took pregnancy test before and after i had my period and it was neg. so is there a chance i am? is there a free clinic or a place where i can get  blood tests done?? In september i had my period but it was 12 days early (supposed to start the 25th but started the 13th). normally i have it on the 25th of the month like clock work, now its october and it started on the 12th. I started the 12th at night and by the 16th it was over. (normally 5 to 6 says heavy) this one was not as bad, no cramping which was not normal. We tried again on the 17th and my HPT came back not pregnant but today the 20th i am cramping. I havent taken a test since October 7th. is there a chance i could be pregnant? whats going on?

I am 18 and I have been using the Pill according to directions (every day). About a week after my last period we had sex and I let him finish inside me. About a week after that (2 weeks ago) I started having:
- nausea
- extreme fatigue
- severe cramping
- food cravings
- decreased appetite
- backaches
- headaches
- bloating
- my boobs hurt terribly

I am supposed to start my period today (Wed. Nov. 4) but I started this Monday (Nov. 2)...the only thing is that it was super light...the light bleeding has been on and off the past couple days with it getting heavier for about 30 min. and then back to light.

Could someone please help me? I really need to know if I am pregnant so that I can start caring for my possible child.

there is no way that u r pregnant coz if a girl is pregnant she will not hav her periods any more till she delivers the baby ie till next 9 months.u said that u had sex with ur bf n he finished off inside u.the day u had sex is under preparation of the new menstrualcycle.so there is no chance of pregnancy.the symptoms u told are just every girl feels before the new cycle starts or during the cycle.there must be vomiting n early morning sickness n absence of periods to confirm pregnancy on a very simple basis.dont worry,the symptoms must hav felt as u were a bit nervous.

if u wanted to know if u r pregnant or not then u got buy a pregnancy confirmation kit n test it after 1-3 months.it works on the principle the hormones released in women when she is pregnant.but im so sure that u r not pregnant.
