Can changing formulas cause dirarreah like poop? Nutrimigien

Started baby on nutrimigien yesterday afternoon and it is going through her like water.  
is thus normal?  I am almost afraid to give her any more.  Oh Gosh why can't my baby get straighted out!

Yes, as I said in my earlier response to you...changing formulas can cause temp. diarrhea.  If the diarrhea persists for two weeks, you will definitely want to switch to a different formula.  Sometimes it just takes the body time to adjust...other times they can't tolerate it.  Time will tell.  My DD did the same when she started that type of formula and she was fine.

Does the explosive poop slow down a bit after a few days?  I feel like I am torchering this poor child.

DD does scream bloody murder with this stuff --she poops after each feeding and is looking at me like "Mama, what the He!! are you doing to me!"

My DD used Netrimagen and she always had loose BM.  Most of the time when she would go it would be like a bomb going off you could hear it accross the room and by the time you would get to her it would be running down her legs.  But she never cried with her stomich that was the only bad side effect from it.

It's important to remember that the amino acids and milk proteins in Nutramigen are already pre-digested, therefore, baby's body does not have to work to digest it.  In return, you'll get frequent soft stools.  (Ofcourse, it they're watery then that's a different story.)  But soft stools are to be expected.   I don't think that you have anything to worry about as long as baby shows no signs of dehydration. (sunken fontanelles, dry mucous membranes, etc.)
