Hello sorry I did not get your name. I am 30 years old which in most instances is fine but I have had some preoblems as well, I had one ovary removed in 98 I also have endometriosis. But the one thing that I found out through blood test that my fsh (folicle stumulation hormone) was borderline high. It was 8.9. Which may mean a few things, either my eggs are going bad, my eggs may not mature fast enough or that they are getting low. I tried one round of gonal f which really gave me good eggs and they matured faster then without. That was a few months but before that I had 2 m/c's they were blighted ovums (you get pg but no baby is developed). I saw that you were 47 years old and the high fsh usually happens in older women, I would have your doc do a full blood work up which includes your fsh at day 3 of your cycle, thyroid, also what they did was progestrone(sp) on two different times during my cycle) am sorry I do not remember
what days they did the progestrone test, and they also tested testosterone. I am remembering these as I type so sorry if this is getting long. One more test they did was a prolactin test, might ask christie but this has something to do with your breast and if there is a leakage they will test for this. I have a milk like liquid that has been coming out around my cycle time, but turned out to be just mild. Seemed wierd to me because I had not given birth for over 12 years. But they tested anyhoo for that. I hope this helps and I wish you lots of luck and I am so sorry for your m/c's. Let me know how you are doing on your pg test soon. Ya know I just realized that you had an IVF, and most of these tests were probably already done. Good luck

I don't think there is a whole lot I can tell you, that highly experienced infertility doctors havent told you.

I would make an appt to sit down with whoever is doing your infertility work, at a time that is NOT associated with IVF, to discuss the issue of repetitive miscarriage and advanced maternal age, and what can be done to address these issues.  It is a highly technical and rapidly changing area, and they would be the ones with the knowledge.  If they won't talk to you about it, or seem to not know what to do, consult another doctor.

Hi ladies,
thks for your answers to the first lady I know that eggs aren't the issue because egg donor 25 y.o. in my case  one tube was a problem they seem to say doctor removed it last year... Guess what I got my first HCG result this morning  on day 10 : 111  my doc. wants me to have double this number on wedn. It seems high for a first number isn't it - could I be pregnand of 2 - they transfer two embryos !!! Let's hope for one at least... I am so excited and finally relax after a very long week of suspens... but I still so is my husband stay on the reserve side since I got good HCG before but started to drop after 3 or 4 weeks... tks for support. Just for the record I have a 20 y.o son from a previous marriage all went very well naturally I was 28.

Oh I hope that this is it for you, usually with the hsg shot they give you only last the 14 days, so it seems it should have been down atleast in the low teens or nothing by now. So I would keep a hint of yay and a touch of maybe not. I am back with the RE this month, well at the end of month and really excited too. Ins stuff kept us from going since Dec. Now have great ins and finally getting going again. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you, I myself would be a bit excited right now which I am sure you are, but scared as well. Just keep your head up hon, You will be in my prayers tonight.

Christine,
tks for your answer I don't quite understand what you mean by HSG shot  -I don't get any other shot than progesterone (daily)and estradiol(2 times a week) I just got a blood test pregnancy test results the first one at day 10  the number was 111   - to be pregnant you need at least 5  - I've pregnant before  and twice my HCG was 46 at day 11 and the second time HCG 68   but soon after 2 weeks the numbers stopped doubling... Also my FSH(too high 13!)  is irrelevant in my case since I have an egg donor with a FSH of 3
tks for your comments and prayers. Will keep you posted.
can't wait to be Wednesday

Bye for now

Sorry for that post yesterday. I was so tierd when I wrote that, hubby had his wisdom teeth taken out and was not doing well with it. Anyhoo yeah my post made no sense cause you had donor eggs. The HCG not HSG shot that I was refering too is givin to ladies having IVF but with there own eggs. They give it to them after they take fertility drugs to help with Ovulation. I look forward to seeing tomorrows post and your HCG levels rise, Good luck hon

Hello hon, I have heard that mild cramping is normal around the time they are going to start when they are pg. I post on another board as well and there are so many girls that say that they felt like they were going to start any second for a couple days and were pg. Your numbers look great, I am hoping it jumps over board by Friday. Remember stress is not good hon..so keep your chin way up high and keep smiling. You will be in my prayers. Take care.

Talk to you soon
