Cereal and white bread

by molley21, Jun 27, 2007 12:00AM
Hi I herd on tv a while ago that eating cereal and white bread is a contribution to spina bifida, how much truth is there in this and has anyone else herd this?

i never heard that. perhaps you misinterpreted what was said. maybe they said that it's better to eat breads with whole grains that are fortified with folic acid? plain white bread does not have much nutritional value, so you'd be better off eating healthier breads.

Never heard of this. I ate cereals and white bread throughout my pregnancy, was never told any different.
