Cervical Stitch?????

Hello everyone..Its been a long time since i last posted but have been updating myself by reading ur posts everyday:)
I am asked to get a cervical stitch cauz of my last mishap that happened in the 2nd tri (22weeks).has anyone here had one put in???If yes,how bad is the pain???What precautions need to be taken thereafter.

My friend had that done with her first child.  She said it did not hurt that much...it was more the discomfort.  She just had it done again for this new pregnancy and same thing but this one is slipping so they are monitoring every week to make sure it does not fall off.
They told her it will be remove about 2 weeks prior to baby coming she said the pain was not that bad...

I have a cervical stitch. I am currently 26.5 weeks. I had my stitch put in at 12 weeks. It wasnt bad at all! The spinal hurt, but only for about a minute. Once they found the right spot on my back I felt like my legs fell off. The surgery itself only took about 10-15 minutes. I was numb from the waste down for about 2 hours after the surgery and then I went home. I had some spotting for the 1st 2 days along with cramping, but that was it. I love it, I feel like its security. I know my baby is not in any danger. I lost 2 previously, the last one was at 16.5 weeks. I know I wouldnt have made it this far without it. I was put on pelvic rest at 12 weeks and bedrest at 20 weeks, which is fairly common with the cerclage. Good luck, if you have any other questions let me know!!

They use a suture to sew your cervix closed. They keep it stitched shut until about 36 weeks. I have mine due to incompetant cervix. Which means it won't hold the weight of my baby. It spontaniously dialates for no reason at all.

What's a cervical stitch?  Just curious b/c I've been spotting since week 5 and had a bleed last week.  The u/s showed that I was bleeding from the outside of my cervix...and now I'm still spotting.  I've had a previous miscarriage so I'm pretty nervous.

I have a cervical stitch (Cerglage) I got it at my 16th week Went to see a specialist and she said that i had IC.The procedure took about an 1hour and i had an epidoral.

I am considering having a cervical stitch put in early for piece of mind. I have a bicornuate uterus and have been told that with that sometimes women can have a weaker cervix. I'm wondering if anyone has regretted having one or had an infection or pregnancy loss because of the stitch?
