Chilli Food

Hey!!!
I've been told yeah its ok and no its not by so many poeple, so I was just wondering is it alright to eat spicy mexican food while your pregnant?

I was told no spicy foods while pregnant. I heard it hurts the baby's eyes. Now whether its true or not, Im not sure. I just avoided it just to be safe.

Go for it, it is perfectly SAFE !!!! The only draw back might be heartburn.

Spicy food is not going to damage your baby as long as it is cooked completely and devoid of food borne illnesses.

In fact some swear that it can bring on labor at the end. I coulnd't touch it while pg as it gave me wicked heartburn, but hey if you can eat it, have at it!

I have always eaten lots of spicy food, during my first pregnancy I just couldn't face it; gave me bad heartburn too. But with the second for some reason heartburn was never really an issue for me until right near the end of my pregnancy so I ate chilli, curry etc etc all through that pregnancy.

it's high in vitamin c. i have eaten spicy throughout and my babies are fine. the doctor even said if i could tolerate it , then go for it.

OOooooo The spicier the better for me.... W/dd I went from Extreme spicy to dessert. I'm not soo into the whole spicy thing this pregnancy. It's perfectly fine though.

i found a can of those pickled jalepeno and carrots with mostly carrots mmmmmmmm!! i get wicked heartburn from water alone! so i enjoy. i just love mexican food, i swell too much from it though, i cant wait to have at it again!
