Chroid plexus cyst

what is the prognosis of chroid plexus cyst or what is the fate of the cyst? It may cause any complications?

Rarely are they associated with other conditions, such at Trisomy 21 (down's syndrome) or Trisomy 18 which is fatal shortly after birth. These are very, very minimal associations with these cysts. 1-2% of all pregnancies these are found and most disappear by birth with no further complications. My daughter had a quite large CPC found when in utero and is now a happy, healthy and extremely stubborn 8 year old (: We opted for a level 2 ultrasound to look for markers for T18 and 21 and nothing was found. I could bet that your baby will be healthy and beautiful (:

They found a cyst in my daughters brain at 26 wks on ultrasound.  I went for a level 2 the NEXT day and they found nothing at all but a perfectly normal brain.  She is now here and is a happy, healthy 2 month old!  I also know someone else who had one and it disappeared.  Good luck!

My doctor found 4 cysts on my babys sonogram around 27 weeks. I was paranoid(being a 1st time mom) i read all the articles online and so on. Basically its nothing really to worry about. They form while the brain is forming and usually go away. My doctors explained that they need to let you know, but its really nothing to worry about. I still worried and my daughter is 18 mos old today and perfectly fine.
