I am sorry that no one responded to your post.  I have done significant research on chromosome abnormalities after the tissue from one of my miscarriages was found to have Trisomy 2.  You didn't mention specifically what type of abnormality on chromosome 10 you are referring to.  Here are links to two very informative sites on this subject.  Good luck to you.

i happened to stumble by this site and saw this question. if you type in distal trisomy 10q and monosomy 10p you will get many answers to your question. these are very rare disorders and the side effects range from mild to severe. the sites i have looked at have pics of the kids and stories about them. even though they r challanged in many ways they are a gift to their parents and seem to live happy lives. http://home.comcast.net/~daryl59/10q/

i hope this link helps you and good luck.....kimmie

I read the forum about the chromosone abnormality. Well my comment is, that I have a 10 year old daughter whom was born with Vaters syndrome, or Vacteral Association. On top of that they found out she had an extra X-Chromosone in some of her cells, not all of them. They told us it could be anywhere, her blood, her ovaries. They said if it's in her ovaries, she would never be able to have kids. If in her blood it she could turn out to be slow, or brilliant child. They told us at the age of 1 that apparently the it was in her blood, because she was speaking in partial sentences, she knew all her abc, she could count to 20 without missing any, she knew all her colors, and today she is top in her class, matter of fact, the teacher told me she was getting bored, because she was having to help all other kids to catch up, so in our case, The extra chromosone was to our good, But I was so much like you and worried, but for me, I put in all in the Lords hands and he took care of it. I trusted the Lord with all my kids, and now I am having to put my faith to the test again, I had an ablation done to the lining of my uterus over a year ago, they told me that I wouldnt be able to carry another child. Well guess what I am pregnant, do not know how far alone, because havent had an ultrasound done yet, but I am so scared its not funny, but like I said, all I can do is put it in Gods hands and I know what ever his will is, is ok with me. I really hope that you find out more about your medical question than I can give you, but I really hope that something I said will be a help to you.
