Clogged milk duct in pregnancy?? Is this possible?

I am 25 weeks pregnant now and I was wondering if it is possible to have a clogged milk duct already...I had experienced this several times when I was nursing my first daughter. I have been producing clearish/yellow collostrum(sp?) for about 2 months now...and for about a week and a half I have been having a shooting pain right near my areola and then it aches for hours and it seems to be a little hard in the area(though not as hard as a clogged duct when nursing)...it hasn't really gone away, it just hurts less as long as I don't bump it or touch it. Could it be clogged from producing the collostrum? If that is possible, what can I do about it? I have tried warm compresses, but to no avail...when I had the blocked ducts while nursing, I continue to nurse as normal(though painful) and they worked their way out, which what I was told would happen as long as it didn't become infected...I am wondering it this is a possible infection..what can this be and what can I do about it?~bops

It sounds like it could be I would make a call to the doc and see what they want you to do about it.

for the mean time (and i am completely serious) put some cold cabbage leaves in your bra (you wont smell so godd but will help with the pain) i had mastitiis when i was bf ds and boy did it feel good against my burning booby! dh wouldnt come near me i might add, but hey you cant have it all!

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a clogged milk duct when you are just producing collostrum in pregnancy?? Either way, I am going to a prenatal visit tommorrow and I will ask my midwife about it...but I was wondering if that is what it could be or if anyone has experienced this while pregnant?
