Clomid Users, can you answer some questions

I know these questions have been asked plenty of times, but here it goes.  My dr has told me that if I am not pregnant this month, she will put me on clomid.  Anybody want to share some success stories.  We have been ttc for almost 9 months since my m/c and nothing.  I am not having a regular af, so I am not O.  What are the chances of multiples.  Do most people succeed with the first try, well within the first few?  Are there any bad risks or side effects while using clomid?  Thanks for any input.

hi lin i have been ttc for last 2 yrs without any success.. 5 months ago doc put me on clomid .. 50mg from 2nd day till 6th day of cycle .. i hace heard many successful stories  of clomid n i was really happy to try it but it did'nt work for me ... but may be it ll work for u .. i ahve ovulation prob but after taking clomid i ma ovulating regulary but stoill did'nt conceived.

I was on Clomid 100mg days 3-7 and got pregnant my third cycle on it... There are side effects such as headaches etc but my worse one was the terrible ovulation pains.

I'm one of the few I've heard of getting pg on their first cycle of clomid.  I didn't have AF for 8 months, and after reducing exercise and doing a bunch of tests, I was put on 50mg of clomid, and bam.  So, I'm a big fan, but I know it doesn't work for everyone.  I hope it works for you like it did for me though.  Best wishes:)  Oh, and chances of multiples I think is somewhere between 6 and 10%.

I was put on Clomid because I was not Oing.  I was on 50mg days 3-7.  I got preggo on the 3rd cycle and am now 33 weeks 4 days.  It only ups your chances of multiples by a small percent..I think like 10%.  But I wouldnt worry unless you have multiples in your family history.  Anyway good luck to you and I hope you are preggo so you dont need to use it!  Oh and I took mine at nite to limit the side effects.  But I did have SEVERE hot flashes....i would strip down to my undies in the middle of the nite!

I had chemical pregnancy in February and a D&C in May. I was on birth control until August, when we began ttc again. I was not ovulating or having af from August to December. We tried Provera several times and it only worked once. LMP 12/3/06 and it was all old blood (sorry tmi). I took clomid 50 mg on 12/7 - 12/11. Negative blood test on 1/2 and negative hpt on 1/10. I got a BFP on 01/13/07. I ovulated REALLY late! Be sure to bd even though you think it's past o time. I stopped using OPKs because I never got a surge, so I don't know when I ovulated!

I got pg on third cyle of clomid, 100mg days 3-7. was not o'ing and cycles all messed up. first tried 50mg no surge 2nd and 3rd cycle did see +opk. We had tried for a yr on our own with no luck, so I know it works for us. I  had m/c on 1/12 and will be back on clomid after 1st AF. I didn't have any moodiness from taking, hubby thinks I'm crazy most of the time anyway ... no hot flashes or painful ovulation either. good luck I hope it works for you too! ;)

I am currently on my second month of clomid.  I have very irregular periods so I have also used progesterone each month in order to induce a mensus.  I started with 50mg and didnt get pregnant, this month I took 100mg on days 5-9.  It is now day 26 and I have been having some serious cramps for the last week.
I dont know if this is part of the normal side effects, it didnt happen last month.  Also I have been having hot flashes.  Can anyone please tell me if this is normal.  I hope the cramping just means I am prego.
