Clomid and over 40

Hi, has anyone here ever taken clomid in their 40's?  I am 42 and will soon be 43 and want to try clomid first before moving into the real expensive treatments.  Just wondering if anyone has success with clomid after 40?  Thanks!

I took Clomid but it never got me anywhere.  The issue for me was the quality of the eggs, not the ability to ovulate.  I hope it works better for you!

Hi I am 41 and have had 1 failed IUI,but i am now due to start clomid on my next cycle in a few days time.I will be using only clomid and will try an ovulation kit at the same time so pin point exactly when i ovulate.I have only 1 fallopian tube and my patner works away 3 weeks then is home 3 weeks so thats whats the biggest problem for me to try and conceive,I ovulate every month and have above average levels of all the testing i had done.The doctor cant see why i shouldnt conceive naturally,but because of my tube and my patner away so much thats my biggest problem.i am fit and healthy and most people dont believe im in my 40s so that keeps me going.But unfortunately its the quality of eggs but heres hoping clomid will help me.xxx
