Clomid and ttc for 18 months

by sweetp1, Jun 22, 2006 12:00AM
I had my last period on May 16, 2006.  I am on clomid (first time) cd 5-9. I used OPK and had surge on CD 20.  So I think I ovulated on CD21 or so.  I am on cd 38 now.  I took pregnancy tests on cds 32, 34, and 36 which are 11, 13, and 15 days past ovulation.----BFN ---I have been cramping like AF is about to show, but then it stops.  I have been having tender breasts now for about a week.  Do I need to take progesterone to start my period or what.  My doctor told me to take provera on the days that I was beding.  But I didn't bc I read some things on the net that taking provera too soon would stop me from ovulating.  I just don't know what to do.  Can anyone offer me some advice?

there are 2 possibilities: 1)you're just getting a late period - clomid can do that to you sometimes - when i was on clomid i think it made my cycles a drop longer and from the sounds of it you o'd a little later in cycle so can just take a little longer 2) that you're pregnant, but not enough hcg to show up on hpt - at this point either you can wait a few more days and test again or call your dr. for a blood tests - those results should be clear at this point in your cycle. good luck. hope to hear good news.

I'm currently on my 2nd cycle of Clomid - same days 5-9.  Currently I'm on day 7.

I was 2 days late after I took my first dose of Clomid.  I thought I might be pregnant, but hesitated since tests can be pricy.  Well, my AF did show up.  Bummer.

Before I took my first cycle of Clomid, my AF didn't show up for 2 weeks... and that sucked, knowing I wasn't pregnant and wanting to start Clomid.

He didn't want me to take anything to start my AF.  He said to let it come when it comes since I normally have an AF every month.  He said if I took it, it would make me start all over, and that my AF could be any day, and if I took it, it would be another 2 weeks... or something along those lines.

I suggest just wait it out.  I too got really sore breats.  Good luck.  Let me know what happens.

Well...AF just showed up.  I am a little disappointed.  I really wanted to be pregnant.  But God knows what he is doing.  Now, I am about to go get my clomid from the drug store and will start on that on cd5-9.  Good luck to u too and thanks for the advice.  It is good to chat with ppl that can relate to your story.  Keep us posted on your outcome.  Baby dust to all.
