Clomid's side effects

by Mediteranean Girl, Mar 16, 2005 12:00AM
Hello Ladies,
My doctor has increased Clomid dose for me this month form 50mg to 100 mg/day. I'm feeling dizzy and tired all day long. I have nausea and cannot concentrate in anything. Last cycle I had none of these symptoms. Is this normal? Please please help me with your experiences, I’m new in this country, I haven't met good friends yet and have no idea what to do. Is it worth to take Clomid at all? How many of you ladies have gotten pregnant by taking Clomid. Because this is my 3rd cycle and nothing is happening yet. My husband and I want to have a baby badly, especially after the m/c I had last June; But we both believe it's all God's will and we are hopping it will happen soon.

I took Clomid, but started with the 100mg the first cycle. I had no side effects and got pregnant on the first cycle. Now I'm 33 weeks and expecting a baby girl! I'm not sure if the side effects you are having are related to the Clomid. I would check with your doctor. Good luck and hang in there! Many of us have been in your shoes and now we are all having babies! I can happen for you too!

i was told when i was on clomid that any side effects that you will have you will only experience while you are actually taking the medication.  if these symptoms are occuring after you are done taking it then you need to call the dr. the prescribed the medication.

(i got pg on my 4th round of clomid, and now have a 2 month old daughter)

good luck i hope it happens soon for you

I have Endometriosis and have been on Clomid for 4 cycles. First 50 mg, second 100 mg, 3rd & 4th 150 mg. I had an ultrasound on day 13 and several large follicles were found. My Day 21 Progesterone came back at 120ng/ml. I went to my doctor the same day I started my period. My doctor asked me if I was sure I wasn't pregnant, which I was and still am, now on day 12 of next cycle. Is it possible to have such a high progesterone level and to not have gotten pregnant? I asked my Dr if I she thought I had been pregnant and all she told me was the statistics of early miscarriage. Am I to assume that I had a miscarriage? What is the likelihood that it was twins? I'm going to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist Wednesday. Please help!

I used Clomid to conceive both of my daughters, now 19 and 23.  In the past year, both girls have been diagnosed with epilepsy! a condition that has never shown up in either parents family history. I was just wondering if any other moms who used Clomid have had this develop in their children.
