Constipated

My 8 month old had a hard poopy this morning.  Afterward I fed him oat cereal and prunes.  Is there anything else I should do?  He has been drinking a generous amount of formula lately, so I think he is getting enough fluids.

I would wait to see if that helps soften things up and go from there. If he still seems constipated you could give his pedi a call for further instructions.

It's hard to believe that little Jacob is 8 months old already. Reilly is right behind him! What you did already, should work (it works for Reilly). If it doesn't, gerber pear juice works great too. Good Luck!

Thanks!  Things seem to be moving much better now.. almost too well. I had to give him a bath after this last one :)  

yes it is hard to believe.. they are growing up so fast!!

Hi there!
My little girl gets constipated a lot and the dr. told me that I can put 1 tabelspoon of dark caro syrup in her bottle and it will help move things along.  She also said that rice cereal makes their stool hard and oatmeal loosens it up :-)
