Constipation in 3rd trimester sorry had to ask!

I am 30 weeks pregnant and for about the last week I have been very constipated.  Its to the point now that I am actually bleeding and its very painful to have a bm.  Im not sure what to do and is this normal. I know that this is probally a lot of info but I had to ask.

Either call your doctor and ask what they recommend, or try Colace twice a day.  We give it to all our antepartum patients to keep things regular and soft.  

But your doctor may want you to try something different, so ask.

I am 36wks and I was told to eat more fiber and drink more water.  I also ate fruit or drink apple juice before I went to bed.  Hope you feel better.

ugh i tried it all too and ended up w/ hemorrhoids.  due to the pressure and my gestational diabetes my dr induced me early.  def talk to your dr.  :)
