Could I be pregnant?

My husband and I are trying to conceive. We've had unprotected sex several times but I don't know if I was ovulating or not. I was on my period from Nov. 7th through the 9th and it was normal. On Dec. 5th I began spotting only twice throughout the day. On the 6th and 7th I was no longer spotting but had a steady flow and heavy bleeding. On the 8th there was nothing at all, not even spotting. But today I am back to spotting, even less than I was spotting on the 5th with dark brownish blood. Is this just another period or could it be my last one for nine months?

It is difficult to say what it is. It can be due to pregnancy. Please take a pregnancy test. If urine pregnancy test is negative then go for a blood pregnancy test. A blood HCG estimation test would be most reliable. If the test is negative then you are not pregnant. If it is borderline, repeat after a week to see if the levels are rising. Rising levels indicate pregnancy.  Take care!
