As far as I am aware, use of antibiotics does not interfere with the mechanism of the pill. However, the pill does have a failure rate of up to 3% which means 3 out of 100 womenWomen's way will conceive while on it. If you think you might be pregnant, a HPT will tell you in another week or so.
You could well be as antibiotics can stop the pill from working. (it should say on the instrusctions) I'd say wait and see if you get your period and if not take a htp. I know its hard for the wait but only some tests will show up bfp a few days before. Hope you get the result u want!
My sis was on the pill when she got pregnant with her son now 2yrs, At the time she was on the pill but taking antibiotics. She was told my the doc that antibiotics can stop the pill from working. The only thing i can suggest is wait and see if you get your period nxt month and if not take a hpt. The tests normally give you a result at 6 weeks. GOOD LUCK.
Hey all, thanks for the advice... took an early pregnancy test, which came back as negative, but only 4 days before period due... so will have to wait for conclusive results... will post to let you all know.
