Could i be pregnant?

Hi, my hubby is going for a vasectomy on the 28th of Aug. We have 2 gorgeous children already but even though i encouraged the vasectomy when it was booked i realised i wanted to try for a third. My last period ended on July 10 and we had safe sex that night and on the 4th of Aug. Then on the 7th of Aug we had unprotected sex. My period was due on the 9th of Aug but now 8 days later it hasn't come. Being excited i have done 5 pregnancy tests but they have all been negative. I have been feeling crampy and sick but still no positive result. I should be a baby expert but in both my previous children i was 3 weeks pregnant before i even thought to test. The doctors booked out for another 2 weeks but i am now feeling stressed (which can't help). We have decided to keep the vasectomy booked and if we are pregnant wonderful and if not well we feel blessed with the two we have. lastly my cycle is usually 25-26 days between and lasts for 5-6 days but i still count 28 days just incase.

You said "even though i encouraged the vasectomy when it was booked i realised i wanted to try for a third."  Vasectomy is an easy operation to do any time and more complicated to reverse -- please don't go ahead with it if you have any doubt.  We get so many posts on this forum from people who are sad about having had a surgical sterilization (usually from a woman about her tubal ligation) that I hate to see someone who is ambivalent about the issue of more kids (and who has recently realized she wants to try for a third) agree to such a permanent solution when she still feels this way.
