DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE. You may just have a slow starter. I'd be careful with that one if I were you. If he/she is giving you this many problems already look out when they get here. LOL!!!!!!! I do hope all goes well with your pg. Congrats on that by the way. Your levels should be doubling but you did see a heartbeat and there have been a couple women on here who's babies started out with a low h/b and have gone on to have a healthy baby. Wait it out. DO NOT opt for D&C's or anything either. Hang in there. I know it is nervewracking. Please let us know how it goes when you know more. Good Luck to you.
Thanks for the words of hope. I will try to stay optimistic and PRAY that your words ring true. It's weird but I FEEL like this baby is going to be ok. I've had miscarriages in the past and have always known when it's happening. i have 2 beautiful little girls and am praying for this 3rd little miracle. Thanks again and I will keep posting and let you know how it's going
Hey doctors dont know everything!!!
and some how miracles arrive ask me My husband had a vasectomy 2 years ago and some how we have a 4 month old I Love him to pieces!!!
Take it easy !! is what i suggest dont be doing anything to hard Keep us informed Hope all goes ok and next check up has great news
Ill say a prayer for you!!
I have read that very early fetuses will often show a small heartbeat. Somehow with them being so tiny, the beat doesn't show as clearly. Your little one is only 1 cm at 7 wks. Take out a ruler and see how tiny that is. In the meantime, visit this site. It will give you some encouragement as you wait this out. I wish you well.
Had a repeat beta this morning and it came back at 1895.4. up 350 in 4 days. Doesn't sound so good. I'm gonna speak with my OB this evening and see what he suggests. I guess not much to do but wait until my next sono on wednesday. Hopefully, that little heart is still pumping away. Going up is better than going down right? If I keep this up I'm gonna go bananas. I think that I wont even bother with the stupid numbers anymore. I'm not bleeding or cramping and if I'm gonna m/c, getting those numbers every few days is not going to change anything. GOD , I hope the perinatologist can shed a little light on all this on wednesday. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. Sorry for babbling!
Keep a posititive outlook!!
Truthfully I never once worried or even knew my hcg numbers(levels)
All I did was wait for the u/s to see him and hear a heartbeat
Good Luck
I have been told by a specialist that the best type of doctor in this type of situation is to see a perinologist. They are highly well trained in the area of ultrasound and viability of pregnancy. I wish you well. Hopefully your baby is ticking along. Let us know how it all goes.
Well, I had another u/s yesterday with the perinantologist and nothing has really changed. He says that it's so small that he doesn't even want to specualte and just wants to see me back in 2 weeks for another u/s. By then he says we should definitely p/u a heartbeat. There was a sac and an embryo but no fetus yet. He says he/she may just be a slow starter and try not to worry. He didn't even want to discuss other options until there was a reason to worry. HE wasn't crazy about my numbers not doubling but says he has seen women move on to have perfectly healthy babies whose hcg didn't double. I guess he didn't want to worry me needlessly. As long as there is no bleeding or cramping I'll just have to wait it out another 2 weeks. The doc seemed very nice and comforting but says it's too early to give a definite diagnoses unless I show signs of a m/c. Well' I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. Not much more to do. I am already so in love with this baby and almost wish that if it were not meant to be that it would just happen already. Is that nuts or what? Anyway, Cross your fingers for me ladies and I will stay in touch in the meantime.Debbie
I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and God will not give you anything that you can't handle. On the other hand I understand not being able to take your mind off of it, I am worried myself right now, not wanting to be pregnant. Just don't give up, I had a friend that had the test where they put the needle in your belly button and test your fluid. The doctor told her that he recommend that she abort the baby because he was going to be mentally retarded and have other problems. She didn't listen to him and went ahead with the pregnancy and now he is a healty 4 year old little boy. Only God knows.........
I was told at 5 1/2 weeks I had a blighted ovum and would most likely miscarry any day. I chose not to do the d & c and set a follow up appointment for 2 weeks. When I arrived they did not have me scheduled for the follow up ultrasound but for my annual gyn and couldn't fit me in for an ultrasound for another week!
I left crying and hysterical would be a better frame of mind not knowing was killing me.
I found a new doctor 2 days later- He did an ultrasound and there was a baby in the sac ( not a blighted ovum)
I am now 26 weeks 4 days ( due June 9th 2005)
All seems to be going well and I am forever grateful for the women here that prayed and helped me through.
Don't give up hope and I will keep you in my prayers.
