Crampiness/Achiness 8 days post ovulation

by murph75, Mar 08, 2005 12:00AM
I have irregular cycles and required Clomid to conceive my daughter 3 years ago.  My cycles have been fluctuating (34-51 days)  but I have been watching fertility indicators, over the past 6 month, and one week ago (cycle day 34) I found myself quite nauseated and noticed too feritle cervical mucus (egg white).  We took advantage of the latter (CM)  I am now cycle day 42 and have begun feeling crampy.  The crampiness/achiness comes and goes but I just have this noticeable sensation in that area (lower pelvic region).  That is what prompted this post because it is a nagging feeling.   I experienced crampiness with my daughter but not this early.  I am not trying to read into anything and am happy to patiently wait but thought I would ask:  Is it possible to Ovulate in such a long cycle?  Also, is there any correlation to crampiness and implantation/fertilization?  One last question:  Is nausea around ovualation uncommon?  I have had very little menstral cramps since my dd birth and not typically a week before an expected period.  Can menstral cramps begin this early too, that would be something new for me.   Thank you for your help.  Murph75

The doctors say that my cycle is long it is usually 37-39 days. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant so we have been charting my BBT which doesn't help much since my temp is always low. Good news you can ovulate with long cycles. The only difference is that you may not ovulate on day 14 like most when do. I ovulate on day 27. This past month we used an ovulation test which can be purchased at Walmart or any drug store. Use it twice a day when you think you might ovulate. Once between 9am and 11am and again between 5pm and 10pm. When the line shows the same contrast in color to the test line then you will ovulate 24-36 hours later. We are hoping it worked this month. Still waiting for my period. One week later.

I'm now 8 weeks pregnant.  While I was ttc I wrote down each days symptoms throughout my cycles.  And one of the most noticeable differences from the cycle I got pregnant on to the others is that I was getting many pains in my uterus.  Sort of stinging pains on the side and cramps.  All these pains were coming going from about 6 or 7 days after ovulation.  I also got the same darting pains in my lower back, and I was very, very moody and crabby.  Funny thing is my boobs never got sore and that's what I was expecting.  It sounds hopeful to me.  Especially considering you don't normally get menstrual cramps.  Let me know how you get on!!!!
Love,
Mary

To: NEW QUESTION!!
Hey, it would not let me open a new question so i am imposing on this one SORRY!  This is not really important, more just my curiosity.  How many of you who have already had a baby or two delivered before your due date, after due date or on due date?  I am due 4/14/05 and I am so ready!  I have 5 weeks left and I so badly want to deliver early (in like 3 weeks maybe).  I know we are not experts and these little guys come when they feel like it, but humor me and tell me how it was when you all delivered.  Thanks.

My first, was 5 days early, 26 hours of labour then a c-section, the last two were just c-sections so I knew the date, which was kind of nice.It let u get prepared they usually like to take them at 38 weeks with a section(at least thats what this doctor told me who delivered my last one)
On the other hand- they are alot quietier inside than out!!
(haha)

Well, I am up at night anyway because i am so uncomfortable.  So, i would rather be up with a baby than just sitting up in bed watching TV Land reruns!  I wish it would snow here.  It has been about 60 during the days here in Alabama.
