Cramps?

by ny36, Nov 02, 2006 12:00AM
Hello everyone,
I signed up about 5 months ago when I had my m/c. I've not been here for a while but I do stop by to read people's posts and have found that you are all so kind and so helpful to each other. It's helped me alot and I want to say thank you.

My question to you ladies is, my cycle is very regular every 25-28 days, I usually ovulate between cd11-cd13 give or take a few days. I'm now on cd 17, which means I would have ovulated over the weekend. The strange thing is that since yesterday I've been feeling cramps...menstrual cramps. It seems so soon since I would be getting af til the 14th of November. Has anyone ever experienced this, it kind of already makes me give up on this cycle b/c I feel as if af is right around the corner.
Just wanted to know if any of you've experienced this or have any insight on it.

Thx.

Hi, yes you're right. I usually don't get af cramps until about at most 10 days before af and so i usually know at least a week before that af is coming.
I think this will not be the month for me.

You can still have cramps when you're pg. Maybe you ovulated sooner than you think, which would mean that if you're pg, you could already be feeling the cramps from that. I thought I was about to start my af when I got my BFP.
Don't give up yet! :-)

Thanks for the input, I'm not too optimistic, these are no ovulations cramps, these are full blown af cramps so I hate to throw in the towel too early but I believe af will come in about 12 days although it feels like she'll be here any minute now.

I had terrible cramps before af was supposed to come, too. I mean, I would sometimes feel like it was already coming out and have to go check (sorry, tmi! ;-). Even after I got my BFP, I still felt crampy. I usually didn't get cramps until the day I actually started, but these cramps started at least 4 or 5 days early...and were really bad!
Worse than anything, though...was the gas! LOL I think that was the first telltale sign that I was really pg! (again, tmi!)

Anyway, it ain't over 'til AF sings! (or rather, AF makes you moan in agony! lol)
