Crazy heave period after Blighted Ovum and D&E.

Crazy heave period after Blighted Ovum and D&E.

Hi there, came across this place while trying to figure out if this is normal or not. I had my D&E in late November and today am just getting my period but (stop reading if you don't want some awesome TMI), it's very clotty and heavy. Very painful too, I have two blood clotting disorders Factor V Leiden (makes me more prone to blood clots) and Von Willebrand disease (makes me more prone to bleeding, yeah I know, it's weird). The two conditions don't really help or hurt each other, I have gotten a clot in the past not sure if that puts up my risks for something odd happening with this.  At my post-opt appointment the doctor didn't do a pelvic exam or anything like that to check. Honestly, she was a crap doctor, told her I was feeling depressed about the miscarriage and she pretty much said how it was hardly a pregnancy, great people skills on her end... anyway, the bleeding is a lot and very, very red. The clots look either very skin like or just mounds of blood sticking together. The cramps suck, when I was younger my period was horrible, I'd throw up and pass out the day it began but grew out of it but now it feel just like that. I've soaked one extra adsorbent over night pad in less than two hours. I am going to call the doctor in the morning but I just want to know if this is along the lines of normal for some people since everyone is different.

Hope I put this in the right place!

Thanks!
<3 Tessa.

I do think you should call your doctor as filling 1 pad an hour  considered abit too heavy, so your basically doing that, it might just be a combination of all 3 things that is causing the heavy bleeding, I havent had a pelvic exam after my d&c's or after my miscarriages as they ueually scrape the whole linig off with a d&c so there shouldnt be a problem with anything being retained, hopefully it will have slowed down abit by the morning
