Cribs

Hi everyone!  I would like to know what crib everyone has, why they would recommend/not recommend, and if anyone has a convertible crib, and if it is worth the additional money. Thanks!  There are so many cribs out there, I want to buy one that is safe and sturdy for the baby.

I'm getting a cosleeper.  I did this with my son.  He had colic and acid reflux and slept better when he was close to me.  It attaches to the side of your bed..that way its safe to cosleep.  The baby has its own space and you don't have to worry about rolling over on it...plus they are right there for midnight feedings.  The one I'm getting this time works as a cosleeper, a normal crib like thing, a changing table, and a pack n play.  I just love it.  You can check it out at www.armsreach.com  they will be able to tell you more about it.

I have that crib that is 3 in 1. I dont know the exact name...it was around 400 dollars. Its really pretty, im not sure if its worth the money yet we havent used it as a toddler or twin bed yet. It is very sturdy and it looks beautiful, ours is cherry wood.

Very personal decision.  I would see if anyone has one they are done with!  So many people are trying to get rid of baby stuff and I honestly don't think a new crib is worth the expense.  I would look on freecycle and craigs list and I'll be you'll find one that is in new condition.

If you still want to buy new that's understandable.  We just got a normal crib from a friend and now she is two and sleeps on a futon (we laready had one)!  I like futons because they are closer to the ground and hers is a double... she's never fallen out even without rails.
