Darn it - really irritated!!!

by mami1323, Jun 15, 2009 09:49AM
Ok, this is just a vent really.  I have another friggin yeast infection.  This is becoming annoying, I used to get chronic yeast infections when I was younger and then hadn't gotten one in years.  Then now, after Jayden, I seem to have chronic yeast infections again.  So I called to get Diflucan, which my doctor always prescribes, as long as I haven't used it too much in the year.  They tell me that they can not call it in this time because they want me to try to use 3 or 7 day monistat first.  I'm so irritated...I hate, I mean hate monistat with a passion.  I love Diflucan because it cures my yeast infection without the mess.  Now I have no choice and thank god I caught it before it's really bad but I'm just very frustrated.  Well that's all, I'm done with my rant.

I totally understand. I have this same problem. I get yeast infections every freakin' month to two months. It's annoying and I hate it.

I used to take acidophilus and it would help.  I guess I'm back to that or eating yogurt once a day.

I eat yogurt almost every day and it hasn't done much to help the problem.

This bites...lol.  I hate them and really enjoyed the time when I wouldn't get them.  Now it's back to being a regular thing.  It is surely a mood killer...lol.

That could be true.  I was reading that the IUD can cause chronic yeast infections to.  So I'm thinking that might be it as well.

I take AZO Yeast, its a homeopathic pills for yeast infections, it has acidophilus and other stuff and believe me it is God's greatest gift to women.
I used to get a lot of yeast infections with the IUD and I started taking them because #1 I HATE those lotions and creams with a passion, HATE THEM #2 a bottle of the pills is soooo cheap its like $5 for a bottle that will last you a loooooooong time.  Anyway I would take one after sex everytime and that kept them away or when I would get a yeast infection, I took 3 a day and the YI was gone within two or 3 days.

It works I promise!

ugh, that's horrible.  I used to get UTIs constantly and I HATED every second of it!!  I'd look into your partner too.  After I started making sure DH is clean before sex (sorry TMI) the UTIs stopped :)
