Decreased appetite

Decreased appetite

So normally DS is a big eater.  During the day he eats around 4 oz. every 3 hours or so, sometimes more.  All of a sudden today, he is not as hungry.  He ate 4oz at 7am, a little less then 4 (maybe 3 1/2) at 1pm and at 3:30 only 2oz.  He is also incredibly fussy today.  No fever or diareha or any other symptom of illness, although he did take a longer nap then normal.  He is still nawing like crazy on his hands and drooling a ton.  Very pink cheeked as well.  Is he just having a "low appetite" day?  Do they do that?  If it continues tomorrow I will take him to the Dr., but wondering if any of you have some insight here.  He is 12lbs and 3 1/2 months old.  Thanks so much!!!

Sounds typical of a growth spurt, also sometimes teething announces this way.  Doesn't sound like much to worry about, unless it continues for days.

I think it is because of teething. My daughter has similar issues and more cranky than usual and the drooling and fist nawing. Hylands teething tablets is God sent! Also you can dip the soother in some gripe water or and rub his gums gently too.

Fortunately it only lasted a day or two, then he was back to his normal huge appetite.  Where do such little people put so much?  lol
