Hey girls!!!! it's me, burrito! lol ;)
Well, tuns out after 3 years of begging (specially the past week) we went to pick out a little puppy! I have a little boxer girl! (yeah, girlie power!!) and she is ADORABLE!!!
She let me sleep all night, and she peed and pooped on the papers! she is a little scared though (it was a farm where she was) but we are being very loving and careful (with the sounds and movements) to not scare her more. Girls, after all i've been thru in the past 3 months, i think i just sunk down all the way to the bottom last week. I don't think i let myself grieve enough, i thought i could numb myself to let my parents see i was strong and nothing happened....and i was very wrong! finally when i couldn't hold it anymore i had to explode! that's why i was grieving 3 months later! instead of trying to patch the whole.
I don't think this little doggy came to "take the place of any baby", she came to ease my pain, she came to fill my heart with warmth, she came to remind me there's wonderful things in my life like her, like Sebastian the cat (my furry baby), and ferrets, and OF COURSE like my adorable husband, my parents and my dear friends (like you guys that have been here for me thru all this!).
I am still a little sad. I just found myself happy (for the first time in a loooong time) this morning and enjoying the morning mist....while taking her out to potty...lol. ;)

OMG -- SO CUTE!!!!!  I have always wanted a bulldog puppy so I took a look at those too -- I want one!  Heck, if you have a good experience with the boxer I may have to get one of those because SHE IS ADORABLE!  How fun!  She really is an addition to the family.  You're right, you're not replacing the baby you lost, you've just found a way to take your mind off it.  You're going to be so excited to get home everyday just to see her.  YAY!

I'm so happy for you..  her picture is adorable.  I wish it were so easy for me.  But maybe soon it will be. I go back to the dr in a week and six days to get the ball moving, whatever that means.  lol good luck with the puppy.  I love dogs... and they always love you back...

oh she is sooooo cute! boxers are the best dogs. and when you do have that little baby they are the best with children! what a sweety and yes i agree she will not take the place but she wil cheer you up after all look at that little face!

So here it is to all my girls that are feeling as sad, frustrated and hopeless like i was a couple of days ago. I am not sure when will our dream come true, what I am sure is that all those moments i put "forward" to, in order to not feel and numb myself, i should have grieved and i would be feeling a lot better 3 months after, instead of just feel numb and then sink all the way down like i did.
I found (like Jenny77 said in a previous post) that animals are therapy. I find so much comfort and peace of heart, and love and warmth in their little faces (no matter if it's cat, dog, ferret or any other), i feel needed and loved. They love you with no conditions, and they love you BIG! I feel very complete right now with all my loved ones around me, i feel sad a little bit about my little pea in heaven and about my parents leaving, but i know, everything will be ok. =)

how...adorable.I grew up around boxers, full grown and pups.  We raised a few when I was very young. One female was my best friend until she passed when I was 16. She was just awesome. She was my dog from when I was 2 years old. Your girl will be loyal and stay by your side and when you are blessed with a little one will be like her second mother...trust me. These are the best dogs in the world and the best with children!

Pets are wonderful, they love you so unconditionally! Excellent therapy...you need to be in good health mentally to properly conceive (so I hear).

Sailors wife, KellyM, Ashley, 5preg2b and Lau: Thank you girls!, yes she is going to be "animalotherapy" for me and dh, she is gonna be a challenge to train also (not much though, they say boxers are intellingent), and she will train me as well!! lol (to be patient, and to wake up in the middle of the night to take her out....) =) Thank you for your kind words girls....yes, with a face like that....how can you help but to feel happy =)

markysmom---How are you doing girl?? Yes i have heard a lot of GREAT things about boxers! =) I have always had schnawzers and cocker spaniels growing up, for some reason (maybe because there was a barking boxer at my next door neighbor) i thought those were meeeean dogs!, but i've heard they are not at all. That they would die for their owners and they think they are lap dogs....lol! very affectionate! just what i need!! =))

froggies--WOW you are really close!! I went to Lancaster county yesterday to pick the puppy up...it's called Kinzer, PA. It was like 15 miles east of Lancaster...real close to Reading! =)
Isn't it such a miserable day out?? well, i guess it's a day to cuddle with dh in the couch and drink some hot cocoa! =)

Hi everyone!  

I am one of those frustrated TTC'ers.  Frustrated that I am not pregnant, frustrated when I count back the months that I've been with my husband that if I HAD gotten pregnant, I would be loving a 2 month old baby along with its big sister.

Frustrated that my husband is always too tired to BD because of getting up at 4 am to go to work, and working til around 3 or 6.  Frustrated that ITS only when HE wants IT.  Frustrated that he got laid off this week, and thinking that we could BD... only to get frustrated again when he stays up late at night to play online games.

At least I am thankful that he is to go back to work next monday.

I want a baby!!!

I thought that last month was MY MONTH.  SIX DAYS LATE!  And no baby.  =(  /sighs

Well, my big O days are between the 16th and 20th, with the  18th and 19th being THE most fertile days,  according to mymonthlycycles.com, so maybe I'll get to BD at least once.  If it were up to me, and even if I wasn't TTC, I'd want to BD more than 3 times a month...

Hello!!!  I love your new furbaby!!!!  They really are my therapy too!! I have a Golden Retriever, "Bailey" and a cat "Hera"....they are my life and are soooo spoiled!!!  I see that your dog is a purebread!!!  Make sure you get pet insurance!!!  I have VPI pet insurance and I only pay 30.00 a mo.  It covers many things!!! (I only have it for the dog)...I found out though, that it does not cover hip dysplasia ( I hope "Sandy" never gets that!!!)  anyway, I love to see the pictures!!!! Ooooh! She's so cute!! If it weren't for the love of my dogs, I really don't think I could have made it through my two losses. I adopted a boxer-mix from the pound 8 years ago, and he was one of the sweetest and smartest dogs I've ever had! My roomate's baby could climb all over him, and he would just lay there and take it! Congrats on your new furbaby!

for a 6yr old she still acts like a puppy:) I love my husband with all my heart but theres nothing like the unconditional love of something that revolves around you no matter what mood your in they just want to please you!!

Dogs are the best cure for heartache known to man.  They love no matter what, won't grow up to call you a b**ch for not letting them have a cellphone in middle school, you don't have to pay for a big wedding or put them thru college, either.  

Best of luck to you.  It's a big commitment to raise a puppy responsibly.  I know you'll put your heart and soul into it!
