Depression and Paniac while pregnant

I am currently on Medication for paniac disorder. I plan on becoming pregnant soon and want to know what is safe to take during pregnancy. I cant do it alone.

Hi there - I was on a med for anxiety when DH and I wanted to start trying last year, and my psych told me it was best to go off and if pg, nature would take care of me.  Well, she was right.  For the most part, even with hormones raging, I have not had a bout of real freak-out anxiety this entire pg (even with a couple losses in the family during this time).  But, that is probably not the case for everyone and with every disorder, so I'm sure there is something you could take to supplement your meds (or take a different med, or even the one you're on now), if you need to.  It's best to talk to an OB and a psych to determine what's right for you.  Good luck to you!

make sure you talk to a specialist too about the meds.  my regular physician and my OB told me i had to go off all my meds, so i did.  after the loss of a one of my twins, i found out from the perinatal specialists that i never had to stop my psych meds (cuz i was on the safest ones supposedly) and in fact they put me back on them
so it depends on what meds you take, and on how much your doc knows about that med.  as a matter of practice, most docs will pull you off everything no matter what when that actually does not always need to be done, and is not always the best choice either.
