Thanks for the comments. It is my first and I am very petite and avg weight right now with the pregnancy. It was a great movement if it was a little one.
I honestly can't remember when I felt my 1st baby move. This time, I thought I felt something at 11 weeks, but at 12 weeks I was sure. The movements didn't get really strong for a few more weeks though.
With my first 2 it was around 16 weeks that I felt movement. This time I am 13 weeks and I thought I felt something today, but I may have been wrong. I am going to give it another week or two and I expect to be feeling something by then, but all pregnancies are different. It will get stronger and soon enough you'll know when that little one is kicking in your ribcage or hiccuping like crazy!
I would bet that it was your little one making it's first appearance!!!
I felt my first baby kick (and I saw it on my belly too) at 17 weeks, I don't remember feeling any 'butterfly' movements beforehand with her. With my second baby I felt movement at 14 weeks and kicking at 15. With my third I felt movement at 12 weeks and kicking at 14! I am also quite slim - my dr didn't believe me when I told him that I felt my baby kick at 14 weeks. He said "Oh no dear, that's way too early!" and I was like "Um, hello...it's my third baby...I think I would know by now!!!"
I am 11 weeks pregnant with #4 and thought I felt some movement today also but then it could still have been gas. When it starts to become a bit more regular and more often then I'll know for sure. My mum always said if you're pregnant and you think you can feel your baby move then it probably is (moving that is). I would trust your instincts! Congratulations - there's nothing like it in the world!
When your baby moves does it feel like bubbling from the bottom of ur stomach and moves its way up..... Picture a fish tank and when an air bubble comes from the bottom to the top?
I also heard that if it's your first (tight abdominal muscles) and/or you are over weight, it takes longer than if it's not your first and/or you aren't over weight. But, I don't know how true that is. I would imagine that it's an individual thing.
