Did I miscarry again?

Did I miscarry again?

I had a miscarriage on 11/4/03,thats was the 7th week of pregnancy(46th day)
We decided to go ahead with trying again immediately.
Then I had most of the Symptoms of being pregnant( had very
frequent heartburns,nausea,white-discharge etc). I was scared to take a HPT till I complete the 46 days.I was very positive that I was pregnant. And I started bleeding/period(?) yesterday (i.e the 46th day again). Now I took a HPT today and it shown a negetive.
Now I'm confused, whether I was really pregnant at all or not(all the symptoms indicated that I was,but the test gave negetive.) Lenght of my cycle is 30-34 days and my today's test means it would be about 12-16 days after missing first period.

So my question is,
a)can the HPT show a negetive 10-hrs after the start of period?(i.e the hcg level decreases below 40 units, the sensitivity level of the test kit).
b)Should I worry about the current period I'm having?
c)Should I get a blood work done at the doctor's office?(The doctor's office told they can give an appointment a week from now.I think by that time the hcg level would be very low, last time it dropped from 190 on the day of miscarriage to 10 in 6 days)
d)And for next time, would you recommend me to take a HPT earlier and also see the doctor earlier?(They might not want to see me,though!)

Sometimes after a miscarriage you don't get your period back right away like a normal cycle.  Just because you had a miscarriage in November does not mean that you will get back to your regular cycle in December.   You may have been having all of those symptoms because your mind was playing tricks on you because you wanted to be pregnant or your hormones were still leveling off after the miscarriage. The bleeding you have today may just be your period getting back on track.  I could be wrong but I would think that if you were just starting to miscarry today the pregnancy test would have shown at least a faint positive. Although I would still say that you know your body better than anyone so go with your gut feeling on this one.  Keep us updated.

It is possible that it was another miscarriage. But I just went thru a miscarriage and D&C at the end of october, I had my first AF on 11/17 and it only lasted 2 days. Then i had every symptom of pregnancy and I just got af on the 29th and that made a 42 day cycle.
I talked to my doc today and he said it is normal for the first couple cycles to be off from what you are used to and normal to be a little heavy, but do come in if it gets to heavy....etc

I had every pregnancy symptom and I never get any of these symptoms  before I start af, I mean I just cramp a little and start. So when I am pregnant, I get definite symptoms and I thought for sure I was but it was neg. Your cycle might not be right on track like usual right after a D&C or miscarriage because your body is trying to get back to normal, there is a small chance that not all women ovualte the first cycle following one, but there is a high chance you will too, its 50/50. Your body is going to be going through changes again to get adjusted. This happened with both if the D&C'S that I had.

Probably it wouldn't be a bad idea to make the appt with the doc and just talk about the whole thing.

Your doctor may want to do some other kinds of blood work to try to see why this is happening--this could have been your 2nd misc. in a very short time.

It would just not be a  bad idea to run the whole thing by him to get a good medical opinion.

Yes, I had blood work done and it was neg too.
I had all pregnancy symptoms this month down to the throwing up and peeing alot...I thought I was going crazy and I could not figure out why I was still getting these symptoms, but now that I started it's gone.
I remember having this happen as well after my first D&C. Your body is getting adjusted and still going through changes to get back to normal.

Thanks everybody for replying,

Christina S,

>>So when I am pregnant, I get definite symptoms and I thought >>for sure I was but it was neg.

When you say 'was negetive',do you mean the HPT shown you as not pregnant and did you get a blood work done to confirm it was negetive?
From what I see in previous two days of my cycle , it seems like my regular cycle.
If it was regular cycle, then why were all those symptoms coming for?
Was I imagining all those up? I am going to speak to the doctor today and think it is really good to get a blood work done.

With my cycle in the 4rd day, now I'm sure that this is my normal period(as is nothing like the one on Miscarriage).
So I hope verything turns out fine.

Hi,
here I am again.
I got the blood report. Thank god ! What I had was a regular period. I did not miscarry again. My doctor said I might have got those symptoms as missy said, because of settling down of hormones & also could be because after the miscarriage my body has become very sensitive.
So we are trying again. Hope to give you a good news. Wish me luck. Thank you very much for your support. You all are in my prayers.
