Difficulty Bonding

Difficulty Bonding

I'd like some advice on how to bond better with my child. She's one year old, extremely well behaved (I've been told by others) and affectionate. I love my daughter, but often feel as though I'm watching someone else's child. I get fiercely protective if anyone does anything that could endanger her, etc. (as I'm sure most mothers do). The main issue is that I don't feel a bond with her. Often times I get irritated by her presence or her need to be involved in everything I'm doing. She's so attatched to me that she cries if I leave the room to use the bathroom or walk around the counter to cook, even though she can still see me. If her access to me is restricted she will scream and throw a fit. I feel like she's being clingy and annoying (which sounds awful, I know) but she never wants anyone else to hold her if I'm there.

I need to know how to improve my situtation so I don't feel quite as annoyed with her constant affection, and also would like some advice to help her be able to be separated from me for short periods of time while I'm nearby so I can clean or cook while my husband plays with her.
