Dinner for a 10 month old should be his formula, followed by bits and pieces of whatever soft food you are eating.

Infants up to the age of 1 year should primarily have formula.

Dolly here is a great site, it is a UK site so you can't buy the products but if you join the childrens food club it has menu planner and reciepies for children from 6 months to 5 years, most are pretty easy and inexpensive to make and you can make several portions at once and freeze them, that way when you have a lazy day you just need to go to the freezer and hey presto dinner is ready. I find that many of the recepies can be adapted to adult tastes by a few herbs spices etc so you don't end up making seperate dinners for the family.

I gave my daughter mashed fruit and veggies. She also likes NutraGrain Bars. She is 13months and only has one tooth...so i have to be careful to what i give her. Really be careful with what you give your baby..esp peanut butter and berries as it is recommended to wait a yr.

No peanut butter this young, no honey and ditto to what peek said. Also watch berries and wheat, egg whites as well before the first birthday.

Always give formula/breastmilk before solids. I give CJ a full feeding right before the rest of us sit down to eat, if he is still hungry, he will get some soft foods from my plate.

I just read that if you want to be really certain that the proteins in peanut butter won't cause the body to react and create an allergy against peanuts, you shouldn't feed kids peanut products until they are three!  Eeerk!  So at the very least I wouldn't do peanut butter now, and I'd decide with the help of my pediatrician or even an allergist about when to introduce peanut butter and products made with peanuts.

Gavin has been eating regular meals for a while.  He has about 24 oz of formula a day.  At daycare, he will have a starch, a protein, vegies and fruit.  He has been doing great with it.  Since he is so small, my pediatrician told us to just let him have what he wants.  He will not drink anymore than 24 oz of formula.  I work full time and I have been making his meal like meat with mashed potatoes, veggies, alphabet noodles with cheese and veggies, grilled cheese, etc.  Just want to get some ideas on menu that's quick to fix.  He's got 6 teeth and the 7th is on the way so he is pretty good with texture!

On PB...3 years is a long time!

24 - 30 oz of formula is the recomended so Gavin is doing just fine with his formula intake, James was terrible I was lucky to get him to drink 20oz so I had to make sure he was getting plenty other dairy in his diet. James has been closely followed by feeding specialists for some time now and they love the receipes I use for James, I gave you a few the other week and the site I mentioned above has great recipes too, easy to make several portions at once and freeze some too. Sounds like Gavin is getting adequate formula and a good introduction to a variety of other foods too, as he is good with texture maybe you could start introducing small bites of sandwiches filled with cream cheese, ham, american cheese served with pieces of fresh fruit and yoghurts, that's quick and easy to fix.

Oh yeah, like I said he eats pretty much anything now just small bites.  I made him turkey salad the other day and he loves it.
Regarding your breast pain, I think you should at least give your doc a call to get some suggestions.

What about the berries? Are there certain ones or just don't give them any until after they are one?
